CRP070 KEVIN MADDOCKS & CO - TON UP AT LAC du DER

Ton up at Lake du Der-Chantecoq (Massive carp haul). Over a ton of carp from this unique French water. Dedicated to those of us who were there and deep into the mud. Especially Alan Taylor (RIP) Paul Booth, Marc Ponsot and carp legend Kevin Maddocks.
When the water drops because of usage in Paris, and fish are corralled more, whilst competing for food as the banks are not so readily available, there is a minimum 50m route march through clammy mud. Camping is a cartoon, especially when trying to protect high value digital camera equipment.
But careful carping decisions, and loading up a lot of localised bait, enabled a programme featuring circa 2,500lbs of fish and in reality, more. I doubt if this sort of epic will be repeated on film, even 32 years later.
