- The Phantom is a new role in Among Us, based on the Impostor role. Their primary goal is to kill enough Crewmates to win, but along with the standard abilities that Impostors have access to, they have the additional ability to Vanish and Appear.

to be honest phantom is a great role but shapeshifter still has that ability to literally confuse any new player which is why its better than phantom, but in ranked games phantom is way stronger since people will literally take EVERYTHING into account for example your movement where are you right now and what kind of role do they suspect you of, so phantom eliminates that since you can kill and disapear, shapeshifter in ranked games doesnt work since people aknowledge that

@@boingyboop4960 no, its basically something that you play with people from discord and they WAY smarter than randoms so its ranked because you need to take a lot of things into account
A Tracker Tip: if you track a Shapeshifter shifted as someone, it will show as their true form
That's wrong, if you start tracking someone while they're shapeshifted, it will show the person they shifted into.
@@aaronschronicles1015 True, But if you track someone before he shapeshifts the map will show you the impostor color instead of the person he shifted into, And if you see someone you tracked on you're map but when you go to his location you don,t see him this means that he is a phantom, But if the location was above a vent it means the person vented.

Pro tip if you see someone walk in and kill infront of you the chances are it probably isnt actually them its actually a shapeshifter pretending to be one and anyways if ya get that innocent crewmate voted out your most likely to be voted out next so just remember that tip
This happened to me in reverse. Someone killed infront of me, we all thought it was a shapeshifter, so we skipped. Turms out they were actually the impostor.

One time I was a phantom then I soloed the entire server (because the other impostor got caught in the first 20 seconds)

Cool information: Someone discovered how to kill invisible as phantom so its very op if you learn how to do that (i dont know he managed to kill invisible but it is possible)
A quick phantom tip: phantom has a buff over shapeshifter- if the shapeshifter is in the vent when the shapeshift duration is about to go the shapeshifter will forcibly get out of the vent and get to his normal skin but not with phantoms they’ll just get visible in the vent
I’ve always been able to unshift in the vent without getting kicked out, did they change that in the new update?

Phtantom tip to make someone in cams want to destroy their computer: let someone be in elec and go invisible in cams,but someone must already be watching cams,before you vent go invisible,because maybe you get reckless and un-vent and see a crowd of people that just vote you out…so if there’s like one,appear and kill him or her,vent into cams and the guy watching cams won’t know because the cams block his screen XD and the guy in electrical will see the vents,go to cams and find the guy in cams, then both of the, get voted out cuz neither of them are imp XD

tbh phantom is great if theres engineer because if a body was reported then if the engi is dead since first round you can say you were in vents but youre engi

Y dies nobody understand thatshape shifter can literally confirm someone is a crewmate.
Most of the time shape shifters r obvious and the person they shape shifted into is confirmed crewmate bcuz theres no way a shape shifters wil shift into another imposter,plus his abbilty lasts much shorter then phantoms
the issue is that there is a looming question if the person that killed is actually the imposter pretending to be a shapeshifter or not.
