  • Shapr3D has changed the 3D CAD game with the new history feature tree. Here's how I efficiently model on my iPad to save time and effort! In this video I show you how to model a fully adjustable Braun LE02 smart speaker.
    A huge thank you to Shapr3D for letting me try the beta!

    This video was EXACTLY what I was looking for, I just started using shapr this year and its been going great, but I always was thinking it would be great to know what to pay attention too when trying to make parametric modeling work out well. This is it, really on point tips, thanks so much!!!

    Wow! This is really cool! Thank you for starting from the beginning for someone brand new to parametric modeling. I’ve struggled to get precise dimensions in my drawings. This will help!

    2:44 I want to see the instructions package, where can I see the results? Thanks

    History seems to grow down, so you need to scroll all the way down to get to where you last actioned. Should be building the history list from bottom up so your last actions are easily found at the top of the list. Quicker and easier i would say.

      That’s an interesting way of framing it. You can think about it like writing instructions to the CAD program. It’s like writing on a sheet of paper - any instruction you start with is at the top of the sheet, and each new instruction is on a new line.

      @@SamDoesDesign yes but you build objects from the ground up. Also its easier to search from the top level and more likely to be where you want to edit last minute changes.

    Have you tried Shapr's G2 continuity curvature feature?

    • @SamDoesDesign
      @SamDoesDesign  Год назад +3

      Yes! I use the G2 fillet option whenever it’s an important radius. I don’t mind standard fillets for small edges like parting lines

      Between the curvature and continuity type (G1 / G2) of the built-in fillet I have so far found it does all I need, but I’m glad to have this techniques you shared up my sleeve.
