      They are all taught dead people can't testify. Any officer that rendered aid would become a pariah in the department. Protecting their officer and the system that protects them is their priority. Finding a decent department is rare. Most of them have no humanity left. The so called good ones never call out the evil they see because they know it will end their career. Show me a whistle blower and I will show you someone who is now unemployed and unemployable as far as other departments are concerned.

      That happens so often too. Just off the top of my head I can recall Richard Ward and Sonya Massey's cases. Then of course there's Tony Timpa who was mocked by the cops as he lay dying.

      If he's talking about the case I think he is, then the woman was in the wrong and her and especially her passenger were both menaces to society!
      I don't know about this case, but I've seen plenty of times where the cops are entirely in the wrong - this might be one of them - the one I imagine he's referencing, isn't.

      @@fearlessjoebanzai- I just watched the body cam on that case & the cop didn’t have to shoot her bc she was driving away from him-not towards him. Yes, Ms. Leva had Mr. Garcia in her car & he knew he wasn’t supposed to be in that neighborhood. And yes, she shouldn’t have driven off. But shooting her for fleeing was excessive. He coulda got into his squad car & followed her if he thought he had to apprehend her immediately. I don’t think it was that serious enough to shoot her.

    This guy was guilty as hell. Imagine all the murderers who went free and undetected over the years. That invention of the smart-phone, and officers body cam, put an end to that shit. Cops need to know they are being watched. Reward the good ones, and make a public example out of the bad ones. I heard inmates love former police officers.

      The cameras have been a huge help. However, when you have people who saw with their own eyes Derrick Chauvin murdered George P. Floyd and make excuses and angry that Chavin was convicted America still has a long way to go. I personally believe that if spouses, significant others, and children of some officers were not afraid to tell what goes on in their homes, some cops would really be exposed for the creep he or she really is.

    From what I have read about this, which admittedly isn't that much other than the Wiki page on Andre Hills death, this guy is guilty and should be held accountable. Police do have tough jobs, but part of the responsibility that comes with it is to be fair and use good judgement. It sounds like none of that was done here and an innocent man was killed.

      What do you expect if police only get a few months for police training while police training in many countries world-wide takes between 2 to 4 years? Many trainees also go to university.
      It is possible to get a quality good police training in the US, but it's hard to find them and expensive to do them. Only a very small number of police officers in the US had professional training.

      @@howlinwulf There's a cop who shot his wife in the head and reported it as a suicide. Despite the evidence to the contrary, he was not prosecuted.
      Later, he lied about still holding on to some of her possessions. He was fired, and prosecuted.

    This uncontrollable create a crime cop gets how many trials??? When his victim wasn't afforded even just a ticket....so much bullshit.... If this create a crime cop was a real man, he would have confessed to allowing his emotions to get the best of him and plead guilty instead of making taxpayers pay out for him to try and get excused for his crime.....if the circumstances were reversed the sentence would have already gone forward by now...
    Guilty....
    Well the verdict came back guilty and yet this create a crime cop will get another trial on appeal.....

      What worry's me is the sentencing. The judge, all part of the "system", may consider a low punishment of lets say time served, or perhaps a few months and to give up his law license. The system is not for the people. Its for profit racketeering and the elite.

    The police union shouldn't be anywhere near this trial. Unions should be able to bargain with their employer for better pay and conditions. Being convicted of a crime does not fall under your working conditions. Union representatives who get involved with the criminal trials of union members should also be charged with a crime, in my opinion. You wouldn't tolerate a teacher's union showing up to a trial for a teacher who did reprehensible things to children, so why should murderer cops get union support?
