TCS revenue YOY is 5 percent not 2 percent mentioned in yesterday's video. Result published to be judged in comparision with mkt expectation. PAT YOY is 9 percent , more than mkt expectation, IT ADR 3 to 5 percent moved up, so no surprise for 200 points nifty . no.of employees added and attrition rate are positive ,after many Qtrs , only negative is order book for TCS, overall it was better than expected
Monday also mkt & IT will move up as HCL tech result is also positive. Recommend to view youtube analysis " equity 2 commodity" dated 11 july 24, which was very correct & brief analysis.

The reason why BNF shooted up in the morning is because jo log 5th ke baad market ko neeche giraye the, unka SL hunting keliye and some amount of short covering ke wajah se gaya tha. Your analysis was right, that TCS didn't give good results, but since the market was already expecting bad results from TCS it shot up like crazy.
Basically TCS had a lot of short position and that's why despite this results... It was nearly short covering. Just see the auction market order for TCS for tomorrow....

IT sector has moved because they got a feeling the FED is decreasing the interest rates. TCS in particular has shown strong revenue growth and order booking is also comfortably ok. Having worked in TCS you should know that fag end of bear market is over for IT. Its sector getting rotated from Banking to IT.
sir tcs is a big company and 2 percent revenue growth is not a bad number. Please understand even in challenging times the comapny has delviered some positive results. You cannot expect every quarter 10percent growth. there is always a saturation point.
