I have heard people say that when elizabeth held the compass it pointed to jack but it only pointed at jack cause jack told her he could save will but in the other movies pirates of caribbean the compass always pointed at what u wanted not the item or the person that could get u the thing u most wished for so think people.. why didn't elizabeth smile when the compass pointed towards jack cause that's what all of u are saying that jack was the way to save will right? why didn't she give it a thought that jack will help me instead she shrugged when the compass pointed at him as if she was denying some sort of feeling towards him and another LOGICAL fact i just found out that when the compass pointed at jack WILL WAS ALREADY ON THAT ISLAND WITH ELIZABETH so why did the compass still point at jack when elizabeth held it in her hands? will was no longer in danger, will was with commander james and captain jack sparrow and elizabeth so why did the compass still point at jack and another fact people assumed that the compass pointed at the destination of the chest well yes, that might be true but why did the writers make jack stand in the way of the compass and why didn't elizabeth look down to look for the chest instead of quickly looking at jack why didn't she think that the compass wasn't pointing at jack it was pointing to the chest? yes elizabeth might love will but in my opinion acting or no acting for that girl she will alway's hold a special place in her heart for captain jack sparrow. if there was no chemistry between them why did the writers decide to make them kiss? they could of came up with another idea to kill jack in that scene without using elizabeth this song rly describe's them both cause jack represents freedom and sometimes sarcasm and elizabeth can be bad while she's with jack but she is good while she is with will, so think people.. Do you really want to keep making excuses for these two? or do u want to accept the fact that elizabeth and jack sparrow might of had a spark but they both denied that spark maybe because they couldn't face the concequence's of them being inlove they both seem to be rejecting any feeling's for eachother in the movie so dont be afraid to give it a thought that elizabeth swan could of loved or maybe liked jack sparrow at some point but given the terms of her being engaged to will it wasn't possible for them to ever develope any further feelings there's nothing wrong with elizabeth loving jack in my opinion I think will and jack both suit her but the reason why almost everyone would pick jack over will is cause elizabeth turns into a badass while with jack and maybe the audience including me love that side about her. jack is no hero but his a Good man.
