His vocal coach suggested he try out rapping due to his vocal tone and a genius was created. Flow switches, cadences.... unbelievable. He has over 147 songs registered with KOMCA, which puts him right behind Channie and 10th overall. Face of SAMSUNG in Korea. He just turned 24 in August. HAN. Born in Korea but grew up in Malaysia. He is the ACE of K-pop. He doesn't just RAP, SING, DANCE WRITE and PRODUCE, he excels at it all. Very funny, empathetic and a genius. He is not far behind Binnie at 9.13 syllables per second but man, what he can do is simply amazing. He also has just over 143 songs with KOMCA making him 3rd behind the other 2 and 11th overall. He is also a LLAMA, drama llama, but we love him for it 😅 Versace Global Ambassador. ARTIST, and our newest producer. He just turned 23 in March. FELIX, Australian, always loved to dance. Moved to Korea by himself when he was 17 without knowing Korean. He is the deep voice and our Sunshine. He is regularly found rapping on the tracks but lately has more singing parts. His range goes from low to high and is known for beat boxing and being the most non-annoying mosquito. 😅 Louis Vitton House Ambassador. He turned 23 the day after HAN. We call them our sunshine twins. SEUNGMIN, Korean. Has the most unique vocal tone. Very serious/diligent artist, always strives for improvement and just when you think he's the best he can be he surprises us again. Has several OSTs for K DRAMAS and is my favourite singer in the group. He also just turned 23. I.N. (YANG JEONG-IN) Korean. The MAKNAE (Youngest) of the group. Funnily enough probably the most mature, lol. He also has a unique vocal tone, very expressive with stage presence, can eat a whole ass pizza slice in one bite, 😅 Loves TROT music and is simply adorable. He turned 22 in February. All the members can sing, dance, RAP and write songs. ALL the boys are in the top 35 with KOMCA, the ONLY group to have all members. thank you Anthony Ray for spreading the love of Stray Kids. Correction there are 4 rappers in Stray Kids. All with different styles. Felix is considered a rapper and dancer. In Korean they do have scouts for each company in the entertainment companies but they also hold auditions all around the world for new Asian trainees. If you are selected you will go to the company and train. Each persons training will be different depending on your talents. Some may train for years while some less than a year. And every company is different. You have 4 major entertainment companies in S. Korea and a bunch of smaller ones that may have any where from 1 to 3 groups. Once you become a trainee you do have to work on your school, and other classes for dance, vocals, rap, instruments etc.... to hone your craft. A company can house up 100 or more trainees. The prefer younger early teens as trainees because the older you get the less likely you will debut with a group. Not all trainees make it to a debut with a group. Most companies put them through a survival show and weed them out in various ways like voting or putting them through task. That being said Stray Kids is different. They are from JYPE . The CEO of the company was J.Y.Park or Park Jin-young as some call him was also an idol and entertainer. Currently JYPE has many groups under the label that are both male and female groups like Day6, 2PM, Girls Generation, Got 7, Twice, Itsy etc... JYP him self decided to try something new. He picked the leader of his group and let him hand pick his own members and let him name their group. Bang Chan is the leader who was born in Korea but moved to Australia he trained for 7 years starting at the age of 13. No other company has ever let a leader hand pick their own members. And the fact that the also write their own music and produce their own beats, sounds, and melodies. Stray Kids does it all. Once the group members where named, the company did put them through a elimination survival show to ensure they had what it takes to make it as an idol. Stray kids are the only ones that produce more albums and m/vs per year. They not only speak Korean they also have Japanese albums. Felix the deep voice was born in Australia and he had a very hard time learning Korean. Yes it is a hard language to learn when you are in your own country. It is easier to go to the country that speaks the language that it forces you to learn more easily.
changbin, han, felix, and hyunjin is the official rap line but I feel inclined to call chan a rapper too even tho he isn't playing the role of a rapper in stray kids very much. listening to predebut tracks he made or some newer ones like heyday / 3racha I think it's clear that he's actually pretty good at rapping. I feel like in joining skz he chose to sing because otherwise there would be too many rappers.
StrayKids have won a VMA and Billboard awards this year and have notched up their 4th consecutive no l on the Billboard 200 as well so they are quite successful especially with the release of Megaverse and lalalala
This is why I love Anthony. He appreciates South Korea's good system with good music and artists. And he shares this with someone who is not familiar with this Kpop culture. Stray Kids just starts to get more appreciation and rewards to their originality and creativity in their music which they compose/lyric themselves. They are also a great performer group. You won't get enough of them once you start.

OMG, THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING MAKING THE BAND! They tried SEVERAL TIMES to emulate the S. Korean model, but as you all said the Western music industry will always fail. IMO because our artists have too much ego and have not been brought up with the same sense of discipline and respect for culture and authority.

That's not even close to Felix's deepest range, either. You should check out the Kingdom version of Side Effects for some even deeper stuff from him. And it's not JUST that he has a deep voice that's the opposite of his looks. It's that he has an insanely colorful deep voice. I heard a vocal coach describe it, saying that the deeper you go, the less color your vocal tone typically has, but Felix can go super low and keep a huge amount of color, and it makes his voice magical every single time.
Or his live singing during Victory Song in the Maniac Tour and the recent solo performance during the Dome Tour of Rev it up. My brain explodes everytime I hear that song.
I'm just happy that in the last few years more men have started enjoying kpop. I remember when kpop was labelled music just for teenage girls (as if they can't have good taste in music lol) and unfortunately even made fun of.
Stray Kids hit different. They are the best at making beats, writing lyrics, they do mad word play between Korean and English, they have mad rapping skills, dancing skills, vocals. And they are lovely wonderful human beings.
You shouldn't dance like them. Those dance movements are only meant for catchiness, they aren't healthy in the long run, Han's feet are done for and it's not as simple as fainting like I.N., it's a jail for the subconscious mind.

Bangchan hand picked the members and created stray kids. 3racha (Bangchan, Han, and Changbin) produce, write and mix the songs with additional help when needed. Well you’re close. I’ve seen them scout kids as little as 5 (Krystal of FX). Parents said no she’s too little but they did let her 8 yr old sister go (Jessica of Girls Generation).
Most Kpop groups dont do their own songs at first only when they become really popular but Stray Kids have been producing and doing their own songs since 2016-17 on Cloud. No Kpop group has ever done that or got to pick their own members but Bang Chan.

Stray kids made their own music from the beginning. Bangchan hand picked the members and created stray kids. 3racha (Bangchan, Han, and Changbin) produce, write and mix the songs with additional help when needed. They are also a separate rap unit that goes so damn hard. Please check out Heyday if you want to hear them solo. Our singers are Han, Seungmin,I.N, and Bangchan although everyone in this group can rap and sing. You really need to check out their new video lalalala if you haven’t already!

they have roughly 5 rappers who some regularly sing as well. changbin, han, hyunjin, felix, and lee know are all the ones who rap most. all have great singing vocals but lee know has been singing more than rapping lately.
Felix’s voice reminds me of TOP from Big Bang I believe he was in as well as did stuff with GDragon.
