@@Syntheticoilprotection Its a 2011 Chevy Silverado 3500HD Crewcab Dually w/ a LML Duramax. And I'm actually going to be doing my transfer case as well. Because my buddy Eben has been been kind enough to uploaded tutorial videos for a similar truck.
First, Thank you for making a video for the 2015+ WRX. I was concerned with this statement from AMS " using this type of oil will detract from driveability and fuel efficiency." But by the video, it looks like it is ok to run this in both the manual trans and Diff? Also, do you see a drop in MPG? or driveability? Again, from the vid, it looks like it made the car feel and perform better? Thanks, @synthetic !!

Some great questions the first part that it will impact is the film between the gears show a mineral oil film is an incomplete inconsistent film the actual molecules are different sizes and it's kind of like rolling your hand over rocks that are all different shapes compared to Rolling your hand over marbles that are all the same shape Amsoil is 100% synthetic and it creates a more complete film strength so there's less vibration in the drivetrain they'll be less heat because vibration is a loss with friction and that loss results with heat and heat wears metal out heat oxidizes oil and fluids and for every 18 degrees hotter a lubricant runs it oxidizes at twice the rate so it's an exponential oxidation process so it will affect the vibration the smoothness of the drive it'll affect the fuel mileage it'll affect the life of the component it will affect the life of the fluid and it will also be easier to drive a car with better fluid because in the case of a tractor-trailer driver they will make less downshifts going up a hill and it can make their job a lot easier and save them a lot of money

why wouldn’t you use the manual trans fluid instead of the severe gear oil?
