Playing through it now and it's honestly one of the best games I've played. These areas in game called the Cauldrons are probably the coolest setting I've seen! So dense with machinery I found myself stopping and just looking around at the area for minute's at a time. 10/10 game easily
There's got to be some secret sauce in the decima engine. The game looks incredible. Rock textures look similar to UE5 nanite examples. Volumetric lighting is next level. People really need to play this game on a decent 4k screen to understand the leap in graphical fidelity.
The Horizon Series are the best games I ever played! I could play this game for hours and barely do the main guest and never get bored! That’s when you know a game is a Masterpiece!
It’s definitely gorgeous, but on an OLED w/game mode the performance mode looks astounding and plays wonderfully as well. I find that HDR/HGiG levels in game need quite a bit of tweaking to achieve proper brightness levels

The vegetation in Zero Dawn was easily the best i have ever seen in any game!! This game and the sequel has some of the most realistic (if not the best) forest settings ever put in a game.
With a good TV, it's actually nuts how good the graphics are on the next-gen. Played this on the ps5 with my LG-OLED C1 tv, it was breathtaking. There were times when I was walking around for hours just sightseeing with no goal in mind but to see everything.
Looks like it has some visual bugs still… like in the moment after 4:45 when grass texture is replaced by low quality asset and then suddenly loads to high back again, some shadow flickering and so on
its amazing..I actually just bought a ps5 budled with it..and played the previous horizon game a little. its easily the best looking game ive ever played, and on top of that the motion tracked acting makes the human interaction SO GOOD compared to many other AAA titles. I hope more studios go this direction using real actors and motion tracking with lip and eye tracking. Its just so good
The game looks so god damn beautiful. I'm playing in performance mode and it still looks absolutely stunning while running flawlessly. The ps5 is such a great piece of hardware.

I do recommend however, to play the first game, Horizon Zero Dawn, first if you haven't played it yet as it not only will make playing the second game a better experience but will help you understand the story and characters better.

Nope, its not youtube. Game has stuttering on fullhd too, on my ps5. They are not so much. The rison is 2 and 3 revision of console. I have all of them, and 1 work without any stutters in other game too

I just play Horizon Zero Dawn on PC this week, oh this game is so good, make it run in super quality mode, 4k with DLSS on, run it in 70-80 fps oh my god such a beatiful game.. I tried Natural clover reshade and the game became even more beatiful, too bad my PC only could run it 50-60 FPS with that reshade, so I back to vanilla.. This game and GOW make me want to buy PS5. may be I'll buy it when GOW ragnarok come out, GOW and this game should be enough for me for couple months or even more

idk why this dude doesn't have a highend pc yet, i mean i like his ps5 footage and I understand that it's simpler to play on it but the ps5 can't really run 4k, and many games he plays have stuttering because the ps5 really isn't that powerful. Like he could get a 3070 or even a 3080 prebuilt and just add some storage for his videos and run games at high settings like this at 60-70fps. This would be one game to choose pc over ps5
I was having trouble with fidelity mode but it’s finally a bit more smoother now. Go too your screen setting in ps5 switch it too -2 instead leaving it automatic
Its so unfortunate that games like these are platform exclusive. I have a Ps5 and i really wish this game would drop on Pc. Once there, its life cycle will last forever and it can be upgraded accordingly. I mean i cant play this game in 30 fps it doesent feel right. I cant play it in low resolution either. Such games that are designed to look and feel impressive should be played optimally and sadly the Ps5 cant provide it.

Is it just me or everyone just intentionally ignores the fact that Grass / Trees / Bushes just appear / disappear constantly, environment is loading in portions and view distance is super short? Periodical microfreezes... man... I mean it looks great when standing still, but as soon as one starts moving... no bueno.

HDR settings are too bright out of the box (peak brighness is set too high). Using -2,0,-6 for better results.

Ive never seen a wave in games. Its always still water. Saw digitally created but never in games. Truly wonderful.
Assassins Creed Odyssey had some back in 2018 of similar quality.
Blood Wake for the original Xbox had detailed water physics, but none like that seen again until this game.

60fps mode is way better. You don't lose any noticeable detail and there's no weird pop-in or frame drops like this here.

You drunk? On PS5 it runs in 60fps and checkerboard 4k which is almost as good as real 4k.
