Good morning, Dr. Jason. We crush them personally. Most of our fishing is catch & and release, and I find it so much easier to remove hooks without barbs. I think it does less damage to fish since you can back out a hook easier without a barb.

Another cracking upload Jason, i always crush the Barb on my trebles when i am after Trout & Perch/Pike i will give it a go on Jig Heads it must be better for unhooking fish, I have had many trebles stuck in my fingers down the years and its a nightmare and painful to get out keep vlogging mate well done great content as usual.

hello there mate, on me I don't want use barbless hook instead much happier if barb bigger and sharpen. even that sometimes fish also got away. when I'm fishing I don't want to lose my meal. haha have a good day my friend and tight lines.

For what it's worth, I always crush the barb, so much better for fish health. If I miss a few hook ups then so be it. Like you've also proved, much easier to unhook and release with a crushed barb.
For similar reasons, on crank baits I will always remove treble hooks and replace with single hooks. The health and safety of the fish is my first priority.
