Bangladesh's largest industry is ready-made garments.At present, most foreign currency is earned from this sector.Besides gaining reputation in the global market, this industry has created employment for millions of people.It has opened a door of possibilities in the export industry of Bangladesh.Bangladesh currently has about 9,000 textile industries including cotton and synthetic mills, woolen and weaving mills, handlooms, dyeing, finishing and export oriented garments. Wherever textiles are concerned in Bangladesh, there is a workplace for textile engineers. Presently 14 higher education institutes, 1 textile college, 4 degree level colleges, 35 diploma level institutes and 40 government vocational training institutes at government and private level are teaching textile engineering.
As a result, skilled textile engineers are required in this industry. In very few industries in Bangladesh, there is a higher demand for jobs in organizations than job seekers.
