My Friend it's Sean from Vancouver B.C. Canada 🇨🇦
I just wanted to thank you for your education of what New York City Fire Departments use well. Battling Huge Maga 🔥 Fires in such a Massive city NY the Mayor should be Proud how professional you are when on location filming some absulootly humongous Dangerous Fires, I hope they will see how Valuable you are to N.Y City You
always show how amasing the woman and men fire crews do their job no other City in The United States of America has this many fire trucks and support units this was a well tuned machine have to say.
This Absulootly was incredible how fast they knocked down a autobody repair business all the chemicals along with it being GAS Feeding to it making this even more dangerous for the Crew.

One could assume that the bloke swearing at 3:40 is watching his car getting roasted. Anyway this shop is really going off, thanks to lots of paint, thinner and other highly flammable stuff! Well, I forget: plus cars, of course!
And the cause of the blaze? Wouldn't be a surprise if it had been a Li - Ion battery attached to some power tool used for autobody jobs!
However, as this Li - Ion baloney goes off like fireworks at the slightest bump or malfunction, it is time for an international industry standard - to sieve off all this cheap stuff made in a faraway country! And do NOT buy power drills or cutoff machines that sell at less than 15 USD!!!!
I remember a Dremel power drill - US made - that I had bought sometime in the 90s and that lasted over 25 years! That was Quality, guys!!!!

The only thing I question is a single attack line on a fully involved fire in a structure with an insanely high and volatile fuel load. I would think they would have at least a blitz fire or a multiversal on the fire, because it's very obvious no one is inside the structure. Otherwise I still love how effectively FDNY operates. I also love how well rounded your coverage is. You catch all the operations including things that others don't, like bottle stretches, and you always seem to find such unique angles. I always enjoy buffing via your videos when nothing is going on in my area. I've said it before and I'll say it again the FDNY is the greatest firefighters in our country, and you and Skyler are the best firegrounds videographers on the Internet. 21:54 the 3/4 corner is to your right. Battalion 45 is right or 4 sector which would mean you're on the right so 3 sector is to your right and 1 sector is to your left. That boarded up window they opened up that had the nasty yellow gray smoke pouring out was the 3/4 corner. Earlier right after you mentioned explosions there was an explosion that shot 2 glowing blueish white burning balls of debris over the wall in front of you they landed on the sidewalk. Also yup I guessed it the feet were wet, but hey at least the lens was dry. Glad you stayed out of that really nasty water. Wet feet are one thing, oily chemical filter filthy feet is a whole other story altogether.

Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta - these terms are used to designate the sides of a structure. Generally speaking, the “alpha” side is the front of the structure, the “bravo” side is the left side of the structure, “charlie” is the back of the structure and “delta” is the right side of the structure.
    Same with 1, 2, 3, 4.

These fire sites in NYC always look like absolute chaos but nevertheless they are most likely well managed and the fires are eventually put out by the agency. With the amount toxic materials being burned during this blaze I can think the bad chemicals will enter the fire personnel's airways especially when the majority of members never don their SCBA masks. Great work by FDNY members. Those fuel tankers in the back were probably a concern as was exposure two building. My understanding is that FDNY designates a “one” side of a fire building, usually the front. Then, “three” exposure is opposite to “one”. The “two” exposure is then left of “one”, “four” exposure is opposite from “two”. Some fire depts use letters instead of numbers. Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta. 😀

@@AllenPortman They use letters here where I live and floors are divisions. Here I was wondering how they determine side 1? Most often it's likely the front. But I was thinking it would be the side where commando set up. Thanks for your info!

Great video, JJ! Do we need to pass a boot around to get you some good waterproof boots for the winter? We'd hate to see you get frost nipped chasing these fires for our entertainment. I'd be happy to chip in. 😊

JJ, you should keep rubber boots in your car.

I’m not trying to be a smart ass or tell you what to do.
But you can buy a pair of chemical boots, fire boots or just a good set of GoreTex boots or shoes. And just keep them in your car. So your feet will not get wet. Hell they make GORE-TEX socks.
Just an idea because no one likes wet feet.

Not just boots but I think sometimes you should have an SCBA because you get so close to the fires! Tell the FDNY I told them to supply you with a Mask!! I think it’s great that they allow you such great access.

You have some great qualities in your videos.. Keep up the good work with do please stay safe.. I'll admit, this kind of fire they should have used foam to put out the fire in places like the auto body shops...........

These places are virtual matchboxes with all the combustibles they use. Sad to see someone's business have this happen. Hopefully, they'll rebuild and install a fire suppression system this time around. Tough/expensive lesson. Nice coverage as always! Time to get a pair of 'duck boots', winter is coming.

Great video as always I’m surprised they just didn’t walk in and do an aggressive fire attack . Also I could imagine lots of not so happy people who owned those cars lawsuits probably will come from this stay warm .

Great video, FDNY has their hands full, a lot of different liquids to worry about, not counting the vehicles inside the building. This fire had a head start on the members. Severe damage to the structure. Stay safe.

Hope you had a good mask on . Those fires tend to be hazardous materials . Stuff causes some very bad nervous system damage if inhaled . IM sure FDNY had a hazmat truck deployed for this . great job as always my friend

I guess businesses don't like many windows or conventional doors for security reasons but it doesn't make it easy for firefighters to get to the fire. All they can do is wait for the roof to open up to get water on the fire.
