- What's up everyone.
This is a video we have been thinking about doing for sometime now. I get asked a lot about setting up Wisefab on S-chassis for drifting. This is what I find works for me along with some tips and tricks we have learned over the years. I hope you enjoy, JD.

First person I see who is sharing all the numbers that he runs. That shows how confident and humble the dude is.
so helpful to learn setup stuff to us grass roots guys! thank for not hiding the numbers.
When you are the best in the game you dont need to keep your setup secret, it takes more than that to be that good
He’s real man. It the transparency that’s shows who he really is. Mad props as always.
I feel like maybe they don't do it, beacuse it can be misleading. Alingment depends a lot on what the driver wants to feel and/or achieve (and of course, suspension rates and geometry, chassis, car weight, track, track surface, and more), especially caster and ackerman, for example some people prefer a lot of self steering, so they need higher caster to achive that feeling. Good thing that James says a lot of times "what I find that works for me" or something along these lines.
I personally rather that they share it more often, so people can associate a driver's style and/or how the car reacts to certain inputs, to an alingment spec. But either way, unless you have a mechanic or an engineer that does that for you, you need to learn how it works, both theory and trial and error, and ultimately, like James says, find what works for you
Now that james isn't in FD it actually gives the other drivers a chance. He was the main reason why I watched it
It's still drifting at the end of the day... Ut was just awesome watching the worthouse boys bully the "big guns" of the sport
@@Matty.Hill_87 obviously they're weren't so big after all
@@danielpaiva3833 I remember when it first got announced they were taking part in fd I was talking to some people from America and they had no idea who james or piotr are... They aren't going to forget them in a hurry 😂
Missing you on FD this years😭😭
Aasbo isn't 😂
@@BubbaGTi you are the man :D :D
BubbaGTi lol
BubbaGTi 😂👌
@@Weakslow. thank you thank you, you're too kind 😂
hello james, nice S chassis secrets. hope u r well, becky x
RUclips comment beats Whatsapp I suppose 😆
Hi Becky, thank you. If you ever need some help with your s chassis give me a holla ;) x
Love the chassis from BC Racing for the S14 and the Eurofighter E92.
Nice background on your phone James 😂😉
And that's what I like about drifting. Even as the champ he does the work on his cars himself, having the beasts sit in a humble little shed, wrenching and getting dirty the night before the journey to the competition, taking measures with the phone app and sharing his alignment setup. Well, I am sure not every pro drifter does it like that, I don't really watch FD or else on a regular schedule so I can't really say... But the fact that the champ himself does it like this is wonderful. Much love and all the best in your future projects from Germany!
Edit: Oh and I love Piotr just equally, he really is nuts but performs so well and is such a nice guy. I think you are one of the few I am willing to buy merch from if there is some available...
"A little sniff of brake cleaner.. she likes it 😉"
Absolutely love this content bro. Thank you!! ❤ your a true living legend.
Amazing to get this insight into your drift cars. Unreal.
This is becoming my favourite youtube channel. I love how honest you are with everything
As I have said before man love the fact your so open an honest with your car set ups. Any advice for a Z body?
It’s my pleasure, it’s nice to see people make progress with there cars and setup. Personally, I have very little experience with the Z’s

I love how you do everything yourself
And this is why he is a multiple time champion! You sir are and inspiration! Love the content!
Missing you big time in FD, but can't wait to see what you've got coming!
Im love this s14, glad to see the content again!! much love from Brazil James(Drift King)
Mad respect to you James for sharing all this with us! Love all the mean but clean looking cars you have inside the garage
A fan from Malaysia, watching your video all the way from NZ :-)
Huge thanks for sharing your alignment setup. I run the wisefab v2 on my s14 and have played around with different settings. Im going to try these specs and see how it feels.
Hello James. Really great that you are sharing your setup info and tricks. Have been playing around with different settings on my s13, never been happy with my settings. Now i will try using same settings as you.
Cool that you share this with everyone. Respect 👊
More of this please! I could watch you work on cars for hours, if not days.
This has become one of my favorite RUclips channels. Well done and great content James!
I bet those extra lock kits come in handy when you are trying to jam all those cars into the workshop. 😂 Looking forward to seeing you shread the RX7 again. I really love that car, it's just perfect 👌
Awesome man! Thanks for the data 😊👍🏼👍🏼
Love that S14 it’s one of my favourite cars❤️I want to see this car back competing looking forward to seeing what plans you have for it keep up the great work man!
James, I’ve just seen a comment that someone is missing you in fd. Someone replied that Aasbo isn’t missin you. You need to keep scaring these drivers, man. Always channel your inner machine...
Aasbos new car is weapon compared to the one with the baby seat in the back he drove last year.
@@turboturtle9083 It is all about the driver, not saying that aasbo is not good. In fact he is quite good, but James is definitely a better driver
Love that car, missing seeing you on track buddy.
Thanks, James! Wish you the best of luck!
Keep the content coming please.. id love to hear some of your top favourite moments from over the years of drifting.. i first heard about you when you was driving for low brain drifters years and years back and I remember goin to there shop and Julian saying you was a driver to watch out for.. 😁
Definitely wasn't wrong 😂 keep up the great work mate.. look forward to see what you got planned next 😁
glad to see the content again!! much love from south england james and co!!
Thanks for all the work you put into making these great videos! Super enjoyable to see a little of what you see
FD just aint the same without good ole 130. Your stateside fans miss you, and we hope you return. Despite all thats happened, i wanted to immortalize your '19 championship car in Forza Horizon 4 and think this video helped give it a little bit of your character. The info is appreciated and we wish you the best!
FD didn't have the same energy without the worthouse boys. Hope to see you guys in some form next year.
Absolute awesome video man, loving the videos on your cars and are very inspirational for the young of drifting 😍❤
that battle in Oman vs Sebastian was EPIC
Good watch - cheers!
Missed seeing you ripping up St. Louis this weekend
I can definitely say FD is not the same without James Dean anymore 😔 Goodluck on your next journey
Piotr and James RX7 drift brother from another mother series?
A awesome for you to share your alignment settings!!! Thank you!!!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
By any chance, would you consider doing an episode on shock settings?
😅🤘🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Bro you rip! I've watched you from the beginning of your televised drifting career. You were sick back then when you had a more street style.
Cheers for sharing. Its good to know we are in the same ballpark.
Do you run a heavy front spring to help transfer weight to the rear? Like 10kg or 12kg?
Same question. I would assume 12k
Me watching this even though I have to do my school work
Thanks for sharing and will continue to support you guys! I myself am also a Drifter, using s chassis and 2jz as my platform too, but I mostly share about 2jz engine building tips.. Pls continue your efforts and take care! :)
Ordered some merch can't wait for it to come james big fan
Thanks for the support 🙌🙌🙌
Hope that E92 eurofighter will end up battling for fd soon
Thank you James, missing the candy machine in FD this year but excited to see whats next for you and piotr. This video is very helpful, as someone who is getting a bunch of aftermarket suspension bits for my s14. Right now I'm slowly replacing arms, have toe and camber arms for the rear just to try and square up the car after dropping it on BCs. What do you run for a ride height by the way? And what would be your recommendations for next must haves in suspension bits? I'm dailying it so I'm not going full wise fab. Thanks for being awesome!
Hello james hope to see more content in your youtube! FROM PH!
Eyyy kapwa Pilipino
Taga san ka paps? Hahaha
Taga Caba La.Union ako paps
Super informative video, thanks man, really enjoying them.
Class! Cheers James. Loving the videos! Missed seeing you in FD but excited for the future 🇮🇪👊
Great content, Glad you uploaded again, Keep up the good work.
Wicked video as usual 👍
Got any basic pointers for an alignment on a stock power 6 cylinder E36 chassis?
Love the content James! Also, sort of ironic since you're in Ireland on those tyres, could you tell Falken to actually sell the RT615k+ in Europe as well?
Looking forward to see what series you join this year dude
Love your content and am looking forward to seeing what you have in store
so let me try a wild guess; RDS or D1GP this year ? just hope to see you on FD next year, and im pretty sure sponsorship wont be a problem for you, success and show us what a 100 points lap looks like.
3 the top 4 exciting drivers missing from fd this year but look forward to see what's ahead
Started working on a Worthouse Eurofighter for Assetto.. because.. Why not lol.
Rough start up but that FD sounds tough as nails
Great video James, I have a question, what spring rate do you run in the front?
Same question
I'd also love to know this if you're willing to share
Be back ASAP in FD pleaseeee
Super footage and insight to drifting, what a garage to have, what type of car would you recommend for a first timer to get started in this sport, my sons got hooked on it and that's all he talks about and watches .....keep the movie clips coming, great stuff 👍
Awesome video! Waiting for more 🤩
Great wee video James 🤙🏼👍🏻 I've often wondered does the wise fab change the rear geometry much or atall versus other kits . I'm just a suspension nerd 🤣
👍💯 nice to learn thing's and look forward to the next one.
Love this channel so much
Could you tell us how do you adjust your coilovers?
Thx! ✊
I still say this is the secret to your success... You know every nut and bolt of your car
That along with mad skills obviously 🤷♂️😂
Your garage man 😆 amazing 👊
No FD this year so could that mean another national championship. IDS BOUND 🙏
Cant wait until you shred and stand #1 again James.
Would like to see you drift in downtown dublin with green tire smoke one day
Could be cool to build the old worthouse shell into a car for a series of videos, imagine oyu probably have enough spares to make it into something good
Every S-chassis drift driver right now: 🧑💻👨🏫📝✏️
Amazing vid as always.... I missed the reason behind no FD this year. I was only going to watch FD for James. Was it the Worthouse split? Anyone? Thanks.
What about that fueltech steering wheel? Fueltech is brazilian and me too, so i'm curious. haha
Love the knowledge brother thanks
What do you like for front spring rate? Sway bar or no sway bar?
i wish you could setup LZ car and give him some coaching, he has a similar kind of car you have, but with a different tire sponsor its unlikely but he does have the same suspension as you, so maybe
Are you coming to do a round of BDC this year ? be great to see you over
Great videos man!
Good stuff james..
Good stuff! Pretty cool a pro sharing his knowledge on car setup. I'm getting my car ready for my first pro competition here in Canada in 2 weeks. Quick question, what do you like for ride height? I usually have my car 1" reverse rake and haven't really tried anything different. Any input is greatly appreciated!
I'd start calling it a forward rake, since that's what it is, easy to visualize.. or [negative rake] maybe if you're watching F1 or driving a Lambo lol. [who does that ?]
Can you tell us please how to set up the dampers (slow, fast, rebound)
Will you be in the Irish drift series next year?
James gave a chance for the others to Winn 😂😂
It would be nice to see 3 of your cars in a tandem drift possibly at mondello possibly get the old time lads back at it such your brother and maybe Alan lenihan or mike fitz or jack shanahan
Can you do the same with the Eurofighter? That would be awesome :)
Nice, been waiting for this video for a while. Some of the guys I know strugle to get the caster low, any tips or advice on that? Also what rate of spring up gront?
Would love to see you build some mercedes as drift car, like your e92 daily. 🤛
James it time to star using a voice recorder to increase quality of video content 👌
ready
This guys got nothing to prove hes a king 😎 thx for the videos 👍
do the same video with the eurofighter :D
Oman oman was crazy Oman
every other fd driver: write that down write that down!
What if RTR team will recruit James for Fd 2022?
Interesting, when the car squats, what's the avg camber of the rear? does it go to 0*? James any chance of putting an engine back in the 2 time champ and giving her a run?
Great video James! I’ve been playing with the rear setup on my S14. Do you make the traction arm longer to stop it toeing out on compression? Mine now toes out too just a tiny bit of toe in on compression but wondered if I should lengthen it even more. Cheers, C
Why use three way in the rear and two way in the front?
What are your thoughts on compression and rebound speed?
It’s about time where hoonigan has completed kei truck after a year,
Why he dont join FD this year? Who know answer me pls.. thx 👍
