Was in the gld trade TBH, it was stressful and horrible. So i took al Brookes advice and went to buy some groceries.
Told myself I wouldn't trade before 10. Good on that front. 9:30 confirmed an active larger setup on Gold for me, but waited for MRN. Pullback was second chance confirmation for a starter, and then nothing. Tricky buggers, I'll be watching you!
It is hard to sit back and relax but it can make you money(or save it)!
It is not hard if you know what you are looking for, you will not be saying this . There is either a setup or there is not. If you decide to place a trade when there is no setup, you are gambling, looking for dopamine hits in the market.
I am my own worst enemy as I cannot sit on my hands and I paid the price by losing profits and some capital. I kept getting chopped up with gold, that just collapsed so quickly after the news.

I mean I trade Yesterday's High/Low False Breakout only at HOW/LOW, focusing on timing window and price behavior. I still need to practice more, but thinking and acting outside of the box was the most key concept that I learned from you. Thank you so much.

No trade for me too today. I didn't see it. On all the pairs I looked at. So I closed the charts. Next week is another opportunity 💪

I hit the gold short,, got 100 pips, should have left a trailer on. But finished the week in the green.
For me i saw a FRD on gold,, pump on Wednesday day 1 then a first red day on Thursday, Friday started with a consolidation around Thursdays level until the new York open for a 200 pips dump ,BTS from the book,, “ always think of your entry point as last night closing price “
It was a little bit risky trade but i did manage to hit those 130 pips ..
On the nazdaq was also a first green day setup, i entered long 1 minute before the NFP release, and the pump came exactly as i expected, not a perfect entry as was trusting my guts 😂 but there was a chance also for a hanging fruit after the third hour during newyork session

Over trading happens
Caught the gold short from the close to inside day stops. It coiled and bounced off the bottom side of the close for 15 minutes before NY open took it for a 4 minute 200 pip cliff dive!

Really sat on my hands this entire week 😄 Setups were definitely there - can learn a thing or 2 - but news or simply not clean... Saw traders get trapped, get chopped, chasing hot chicks... Bless them.

I wish I just sat on my hands today. The pair I had narrowed down to looked like it was playing out the setup before the news. It started moving against me so I closed it with a little loss and oh well I managed myself well and still ended the week profitable.

It is so nice to close the trade at the initial stoploss. No more problem, loss taken, move on to next trade. If you start moving the stop and the loss is increasing more and more until you must cut it before you lose your account, after a few big mistakes like that one starts to appreciate small stoploss losses. The one who can not take a small loss, will sooner or later have to take a gigantic one. Good job, well done.
