For nice soft even light it is tough to beat the lantern modifiers. Congratulations on the baby! It will be fun to compare these videos to the ones you will do after the baby gets here with how exhausted you will certainly look!
Awesome video! I'm about to shoot an interview with the Aputure Lantern and I was looking for a video where someone used it shooting upright instead of "overhead" and it looks great!
What is the actual comparison in size between the Light Dome, Light Dome Mini and Lantern? I have the V2 Light Dome and it's way too massive for the space I'm in (6.5ft ceilings - yikes). The Light Dome is way wide and deep? Is the Lantern lot less massive like the Mini or should I just go with the Mini?
Thank you for sharing! Do you have a video about choosing a good light? I currently own 2 elgato key light and I am thinking whether I should buy 1-2 more of this or there are better alternatives.
@@EposVox That sucks! I can't think of a better person to do a review of what could possibly be the absolut best CPU for that task! Thanks for the reply.
love the Vidme Tshirt, also $700 on a light, that's crazy, I got 2 softbox lights that are perfect, you do seem like you like perfection when it comes to gear, gotta say i love it lol
Not quite but i have Skrill, they can generate throwaway Internet Mastercard on the go too. This company used to be based in UK but brexited to Ireland a few months ago as they're largely focused on EU customers. Sometimes the site doesn't want to work and dealing with it overall is pretty convoluted. They support some instant payment methods that are popular with European banks, and the fees are reasonable. If you spend more than 10€ a year (if memory serves), you get a physical embossed MasterCard too, which was the reason i signed up to begin with, back more than a decade ago when they were called Moneybookers.
I got some led lights from amazon. Cheap and do the job well. You can adjust the colour temperature and brightness easily. No need for these expensive light kits unless you're using 4k imo. I stream at 8k bitrate on twitch, so much of the quality is lost anyway as the bitrate is so low for a clear 1080p60 I record at 100k for 1080p for example. Cool video though, lighting is definitely a huge issue, especially with a green screen.
I'm way beyond "some led lights from Amazon" This isn't for streaming What kind of lighting you use is 100% unrelated and unaffected by your bitrate or resolution Nothing in this comment makes any sense.
These mid-video ads are reminding me of watching television. We're in the 21st century folks, I don't want to sit through ads anymore. Just a thought...
You finally made this video! Been waiting for it. Enjoyed hearing your take and seeing the mods in your space.

The only disadvantage of the lantern is that it doesn't allow you to separate yourself from the background.
Lights and modifiers can get SO expensive. Finding something that works for you and your space is the key :) Congrats on the baby!
Thanks dude! :)

I'm looking at a 1x2 led flat panel with a flat soft box to start like Caleb suggested as well.
Yeah I’ve been thinking about getting the lantern. I also have a Light Dome Mini ii and a SL-60W. Also a small apartment 🤣
What was that Kaleb rolly cart thingy? Yes, I think that lantern is the way to go-thanks!
I have great result with a $4 shower curtain to get soft light. Just with some C47 on my 30x40cm led panels
I didnt know about the baby ! Congrats to you two !

Congrats for the baby!! sleep now that you can hahaha mine just turned 10 months and my "home studio" is now shrunk to a half a room size
Is there any chance for proper lighting in a VERY tight space? im talking like 10 inch / 25cm
I would ditch the ceiling fan and bounce light off the ceiling. bouncing light off White walls also are helpful.
I live in an apartment and do not have that option.
is there a europe version of Privacy?
I need a 3950X for streaming/encoding video!
I wasn't sent one
