From what I've read, the barking sound of the raptors (heard in the 1st movie when they gain access to the kitchen and the 3rd where the trapped raptor exits the lab and sends out the call to arms) are the mating turtle sounds. Look through gizmodo (dot com) and look up the article that says "Jurassic Park's Dinosaur Sound Effects Were Actually Sex Sounds."
I'm not contesting your original statement, and I have seen it for myself years ago. I'm just letting you know that the 'main cry' was not the only sound Velociraptors made in the movie. It's the source material for the rest of the Velociraptor sounds that was the subject, and the entry of IMDB did not include all the sounds used for every raptor sound. The ones I can readily identify (apart from other articles found) are the barking sounds (turtles mating), the throaty rapid-fire grunts (penguin), and the goose hiss just before it pounces on Muldoon. I'm only making a recommendation to look for any and every article with 'source of Velociraptor sounds.'

The sounds of the Velociraptor are very complex, I wouldn't doubt it if each sound had a unique meaning making it some sort of proto-language.
