Yeah, glad we got out too! Zion had massive rains & flash flooding yesterday! Still raining today... & yep, you caught that part where I slipped into that pool huh? 😂
Thanks, not from a country with enough dry to have canyons, I see what happens when it goes wrong, wanted to see what it’s like when things go right. At least we never have the rain problem. Because it is always raining, grip, clothing and a high chance of hypothermia if anything goes wrong are more probable. Watching the sun on RUclips means I remember what it is when it returns. I can see the differences, the really smooth rock, the really clear base of the Canyon. That Canyon is flushed regularly. If it doesn’t have a 5 star cleaning service, then nature must do a job. Caves are always a constant temperature, but normally it’s the things that live in them that scare me off.
Thanks MarcoS, I'm pretty sure it's a little less civilized than Saxony, but it'll do for now... 😎 Thanks for your input, & Cheers from the land of Zion! 🤙
Yeah, I guess I should say that I don’t really consider it a “hike”… These canyon journeys require a certain level of skill above placing one foot in front of the other… 🤔 FUN stuff tho!!!
Looks awesome! Hey we are back in Yellowstone and today we hiked to Mystic Falls! We could not believe the people! You were right very beautiful. Hope you are doing well in Zion?
Laughed out loud in a few spots because I know how cold that water can be! Awesome video. Thanks for posting - I'm looking forward to your next adventure!
Yeah, I hear you… I actually rented those guys from a local modeling agency. They were the only ones available that day. 🤷♂️ I had plans for a more popular hike, but one look at them & I was like, “nope, we’re headed straight for a dark slot canyon”.
That was so much fun to watch, and I'm sure a blast to do! I am curious if you take time to check out the small scenic spots in that region- like Goblin Valley, Cedar Breaks, Hovenweep, Red Canyon, and others. Lot of history from the ancient civilizations, as well as amazing places to explore. Enjoy!
Yes, absolutely! Each of those places are incredible, & extremely unique! Goblin Valley is one of the most bizarre scenes I’ve ever laid eyes on! Thanks for reminding me that it’s time to go back there!
@@theparkjunkie I'd like to revisit Natural Bridges NM someday. I saw a bit from the overlooks but I got there too late to explore, and I was headed to Canyonlands south unit the next day. I bet it is beautiful this time of year. Enjoy your next adventure!
@@timwolfers7880 So yeah, Natural Bridges is kinda surrounded by Bears Ears, & just to the south is the Valley of the Gods! The entire area is just insane! Another planet!
No, no wildlife in the Narrows, or Keyhole. You generally don’t really want to see anything down in these tight canyons, (other than owls, bats or birds, cause it’s impossible for land roaming creatures to navigate this terrain without ropes. The Narrows is slightly more hospitable, but it’s not a great environment for most land dwellers either. I was doing a tight slot canyon once & came across a rattlesnake in a large pool which had somehow fallen in there… Not a happy creature, but luckily, there was enough room for us to each have our space, & I passed by unscathed. I would have helped the thing, but what are ya gonna do? It’s a rattlesnake?!? 😳
Another slot canyon hike, very cool (pun intended). I really like the stretch between the east entrance and the tunnel--there's a bunch of neat places to pull over and explore without the crowds. One of my fondest memories was hiking up into the natural bowl above the petroglyphs after a rainstorm. All the little waterpocket pools were filled with frogs mating and their "song" was echoing off the canyon walls. Are the bighorns still hanging out along that part of the roadway these days?
You nailed in Yawn, the east side is like a secret planet of its own. I often pull off up there & just wander back into the hinterlands. Never see a soul… but the scenery is just insane! It doesn’t even matter where, just get out on the east side… & yes, it is pretty “cool” down in there… 🤣
No, I’ve never seen Keyhole dry. That slot at the end thru which we waded is usually a long swim, but is shallow right now. Filled in with sand… I have ran Pine Creek before & avoided water. Only once tho…
Interesting for sure. In your adventures going through areas like this , have you ever come across anything that gave you second thoughts & questioned it ? 👍👍😊
Sure, I've turned back more than a few times due to weather concerns. It's a no-brainer... if it looks like a storm, you just call it a day & go watch the heavens rage from a safe area above the canyon... 🤠
We loved it, you're a great outback tour guide! Your San Ignacio Springs pals, Stella and Larry
Hey Stella & Larry! I trust you're both enjoying the adventure down here! Cheers
I was claustrophobic just watching! 😂 Good video!
It’s tight in there! Thanks!
Very nice! Beautiful!
Thanks Jessie!
LoL you got wet 🤣, glad you guys got out safe

Good times PJ!
Yeah homie! Thanks for the invite!
Impressively beautiful pictures...sure is fun...thanks...greetings from saxony 🤙🏻

thx ParkJunkie💛
You’re very welcome Alice!
Wow, that hike was claustrophobia-inducing and definitely for skilled hikers only. Icey and dicey.

Wow. LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT. Had to watch it twice. Thanks so much for sharing. Great job making the video.
Thanks for the feedback! We really should have ran it twice, but those guys were all tuckered out… 🤣🤣🤣
Just kidding, those boys are animals…!
Awesome video. 👌
Thanks! That's a FUN trip!

Nice! It’s getting cold up there huh? Good hiking weather… Cooled off down here in Zion today, high was only in the low 70s… 😁
Another phenomenal video! Thank you so much!
Awesome! Glad you could make the trip with us today! You are welcome…

Yeah! If you know, you know!!!
Park Junkie’s got some phenomenal moves! Great video y’all. My ankles would never make it through they place haha.
Yeah, been working on those moves for a while…
Next day: “wonder why my shoulder hurts…?”
Liked the video. Short. Park Junkie might want to consider prettier hiking companions. Just a suggestion🤣🤣

Yeah, I know! That’s my general response to so many things out here!

Let’s crush more adventures 🤙
I just got “crushed” by an adventure yesterday…. 🤕 ouch…
I've been to Zion several times but I have yet to do the keyhole, on my list. Awesome video👍🏼
Yeah, if you’ve got some canyoneering skills, it’s a pretty simple run. Combine it with Pine Creek for a real day of slot canyon action!
Excellent once again! Wondering if you came across any wild life down in the narrows. Thanks for sharing!

Sweet slot. Have you ever seen it dry with no pools?
