What a wonderfully original group. Most harmonica players sound the same to me but this guy is really special. I've never heard somebody work so many cool rhythms into his solos.
What I love about his music is it sounds like old roots music from the 1920s but recorded with today's technology ....so authentic you feel like you are there.
I love the way Pokey and his band bring authenticity back into modern music. Plus, they have so much fun! Thanks for this upload, it was an absolute treat!
Behind Pokey you can clearly see the word LIGHTNING, which definitely struck the stage of the Loveless Cafe that night. Flawless.
