Hi Bill - Eddie in the UK here ! Thanks for a really useful and great video ! I had intended to buy a simple delay pedal - but after looking at this puppy I have just ordered one ! ! ! I like your friendly simplistic approach to the way you show the pedal and it's abilities. I didn't realise how many beautiful and complex sounds a delay pedal could give until now Bill. I have just added Lap steel playing to my musical ability and can't wait to try this baby out with my Lap steelies ! Best Regards . . . Eddie.
Bill I am a hard rock player through and through. I still basically use delay at 300 ms with 1 repeat. I wanted to tell you how much I admire you're playing. You are so incredibly creative. I'll probably never be an ambient guitarist but you have inspired me to add some ambient elements to certain songs that fit them. Thank you sir :)
I've been away for a while, but now I'm back I realise two things; You're still the man to go to for ambient guitar effects and your beard gives you that Western European Monarch look big time. Both of those things are sensational! Stay well my friend.
Hope you had a relaxing vacation Bill. Good to see you back. I was really impressed by your previous NUX demos, and of course, impressed by the pedals too. I now have an Atlantic and Stageman at the core of my acoustic pedalboard. Great pedals.
I always wanted to be an ambient guitar player thats just my type then I got a good deal on distortion and I took it but now as I was looking for a shimmer reverb or any looper pedal to loop some amient delayed pieces and then play over them like I was planning some swells and then wud use my guitar for playing over I was really confused as to go for a shmmer or a looper and then you came and gave me all that in one pedal pluss delay and stereo so I just loved your work and it helped me make a lifetime closure on purchases and finally I have my dream most versatile rig ready a Boss DS1x distorion which is very tight for solos and other stuff and my sweet chymmy cherrished ambient swells and chord melody type music needs I ll be subscribing and learning all my music from you now currently I m learning basics from GCH academy, I just cant tell you enough And yeah SIR DAVOS is my GURU I like that 😇😇
Just got this pedal today. Spent about an hour with it. It seems you CANNOT dial in milliseconds exactly. If I wanted to do a 440 ms on Delay 1 and 330 on Delay 2, it won't work. It seems to skip some ms as there is no "fine tune" on this delay for delay times (it does come close). I just did the firmware update, and it is much improved menu wise. I think this is 1 update away from being magnificent. I also wish there was a fav or way to save a few presets. Gonna noodle, but for $150 it is the best deal for the features of I have seen. Pedal seems sturdy, and the delays sound really good.
Very excellent demo with a ton of info! Are you familiar with the BuggFX Daydream? It splits the input into 3 separate signals and applies a filter and different delay time to each. Trying to decide between it, the NuX Duotime or the very simple but super cool Donner White Tape stereo delay. What are your thoughts?
Hoping that I can approximate a Andy Timmons Keeley HALO type sound with this pedal... I don't see why not. I would be very interested in that style of delay sound... Meaning... a Delay that doesn't get in the way... One that you don't play rhythmically. (Edge thing) More of a Reverb/Chorus thing... with a Widening of the sound. 150 now or 300 later... LOL
Thanks for asking this question. That was one thing I loved about the DIG. I could have one of the delays be subtle while the other delay was more prominent.
Is there a way to use just one of the delays without the dual feature? I love this pedal but at times would just need a simple dotted 8th with tap tempo. Basically use it as a tap delay pedal like the boss dd 3T or dd8.
I looked in the manual (I don't have the pedal on my pedalboard right now), and it does not look like the level of each delay can be controlled independently.
Your beard becomes more and more glorious every video
Ur sexi
Hope he doesn’t starve.
a tip: you can watch movies on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
@Beckham Sonny Yea, I have been using Flixzone for years myself =)
@Beckham Sonny Yup, have been watching on flixzone for since november myself =)

Just bought one. Arrived in a few days time. Thanks for the demo and run through. Should save quite a bit of time.
My ambient journey begins. 👍🏴

Cool! I do think that the NUX pedals are really good values for their capabilities.
Gotta get this pedal ,,,really am a fan of stereo delays and such ,,,thank u sir

Such a pleasant down to earth kind of video. Enjoyed it a lot.
Got one a month back. Love it. Not tried the looper yet but really looks like fun.
Bought the Duotime on your recommendation Bill. Love this wacky delay box. It will be on our next set of recordings.
Fantastic!
Great sounding pedal, ever better sounding playing
Thanks very much!!
Interesting pedal and a really great price. Looking at what this might be like with synths 😊
Thanks a lot for taking the time to go through this.
I love ping pong and the quick access knobs.
Just got this pedal today.

Have you managed to figure it out? I’m thinking about getting this or the Atlantic delay and reverb
Been so excited about this for a while now, want it to come out already!!
Might be the most 80’s modern pedal you can buy
Thank you, Bill. :-)
fuk it im gettin this
This channel is so 60s zen. Love it. So, is this a viable alternative to the Dig I wonder..
Thanks! Also, I did a comparison of the DIG to the Duotime: ruclips.net/video/RQkrd-yfIJw/видео.html
"Here we have a happy little pedal...and it lives together with his little friend in a box..."
Thank you

Ok i need one.
Feature wise, this appears to be "inspired by" the Boss DD-200
Im deciding whether to get this or the DD200🤔
I want dual tape Echos to ping pong!

How successful have you been in that? This is also my hope I am placing in this pedal ;-)
Hi Bill, can you control the mix of each delay separately?
No, just one level control.
Bummer
Thanks for asking this question. That was one thing I loved about the DIG. I could have one of the delays be subtle while the other delay was more prominent.
Hey Bill, I know this is an older video but if you had to choose between the nux duo and the tc electronic triple, which would you pick? Thanks
Triple Delay for sure. I love having the 3 independent delay lines!
Bought this pedal, but decided just 48 hours later to return it. Reason? This pedal can NOT achieve real synced ping pong delays. So disapointed...
would you be able to do a brian may sort of deal where it will have 1 repeat(800ms) one side and 2nd repeat(1600ms) on the other side
Possibly - by adjusting the subdivision options.
Is there a way to use just one of the delays without the dual feature? I love this pedal but at times would just need a simple dotted 8th with tap tempo. Basically use it as a tap delay pedal like the boss dd 3T or dd8.

Strymon Dig can do that.
Can I use it to keyboard?
Is this true bypass?
In my opinion Strymon Timeline has more flexibility. (And tone of course...)
True - however the Duotime will be sold for $150 vs the Timeline at $449 - almost triple the price.
@@chordsoforion - true.
Fore those who is low on budget..
@@chordsoforion at x3.326666 the price
How to Store Preset?
There are no presets on the Duotime.
thanks
How does this compares to the DIG?
He uploaded an A/B comparison!
