I will NEVER kneel no matter how bad my knees or back may be. The men and women who have given the Ultimate Sacrifice deserve strength and respect. At my grandfather's funeral when I was 9 years old, I stood there saluting his casket as they carried him out of the funeral home and to his final resting site. I do the same now at every first responder funeral I attend
This song hits way too close to home.. my best friend was killed in Afghanistan 2 years ago and never made it home. RIP SFC. Jason Shaffer, I miss you buddy, I’ll see you one day.

Just earlier this month I had my Grandfather's funeral. And, since he was in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, he had this ceremony done to honor his time in service. Coming up on 12 years ago the same service was done for my other Grandpa who was in The Army during World War II, he was a survivor of of Omaha Beach on D-Day. And, also had the honour of experiencing this same ceremony back then, too. I'm miss them, but I am so proud of them, and what they did for our country. And, I now extend that same pride to my family friends, as well as every single other Man and Woman, who bravely serve country. 🇺🇸
Amazing rendition of a powerful song.....thank you to the military, police and firefighters of all countries on earth for your service and sacrifice....I am grateful.
I get emotional on either version honestly. Such a great song. Thank you all to have served our country and for those who made the ultimate sacrifice you will not be forgotten!❤

It brought tears to my eyes..... I served on a funeral detail at Ft. Riley, so this hit me especially hard. So many fought and died for that flag, yet so many now show nothing but disrespect for it. I won't tolerate it..... Thank you for your service.
The true hero’s are the men and women who passed during service. Thank you to all who have served this amazing country and nation. You people are the reason why I stand for the flag. I’m 16 years old and I’m proud to be saying this. I’ve had amazing family members who have served and I also have family members that didn’t make it back. Thank you all who have served this amazing country.
Thank you so much for this song. My uncle had just passed last month and he was a veteran that fought to protect this amazing country. This man was like a father to me as my parents were never really in my life growing up so when I listen to this song it reminds me of all my uncle had done for me growing up and knowing that he fought to protect truly means the world to me. Keep up the amazing work.
Hooaahh! Both versions hit me like a 120mm, M1 Abrams tank round. This former Cavalryman thanks y'all for writing & playing this. Hell, maybe there's still hope, after all. The fight for Freedom and Liberty rages ever on.
As a volunteer firefighter and 911 dispatcher, I had the honor of dispatching my first department's Assistant Chief's final call last year from within the walls of the station. It was one of the most difficult but most rewarding things I have ever done in my life. Watching this video, seeing that flag handed over and the 21 gun salute (7 guns x 3 shots each), it gives me chills. Thank you to all first responders, veterans, active and reservists. Your sacrifice does NOT go unnoticed.
To the ones who can stand I will be in my chair next to you saluting the fallen. God knows how much I miss you. We each have a story just take time to listen it means a lot to us for someone anyone to listen.

I love this song. But I tear up every time I listen to it, thinking of the sacrifices made by my battle buddies. I’ve lost several of my fellow soldiers. Once again, I just LOVE this song
It just makes me think this song was written for my boy Jesse. America loving country boy from the backwoods of West Virginia. Just out of high school, he decided he wanted to be all he could be, so he enlisted. Met his wife during his second reenlistment, and he joined the reserves so he could settle down and start a family. Just a few months after his baby girl was born, his wife's turn came up for deployment. Jesse didn't hesitate in the least bit to lace up his boots and take her place, so she could stay home with their infant. In May of 2008 during his tour in Iraq, a bunch of cowards set off a roadside IED, sending his entire platoon home to Jesus. Jesse came home, laid beneath those stars and stripes. Here's to you, SSG Jesse A. Ault. May you always be remembered as a hero. You sir, are truly Mr. Red White and Blue.
I like ur song. If u've never been 2 a military funeral in a National Military Cemetery, I hope u never have 2. But if u have u would know why our military men & women deserve every American support & respect. They deserve 2 be honored & respected. 🙏🙏🙏🇺🇲
I have served with the Honor Guard at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly MI, and yes, it humbles you and reminds you of the sacrifices made by those that came before us. 🇺🇸
They left their lives at home to go fight so all of us could live. Ask yourself could you do that for someone you don't know? Be brave enough to stand up for these brave hero's. The only knee you should take is to pray for these brave men and women.
I didn't serve. Had multiple family members that did. Some who didn't come home, including an Uncle who lost his life in WWII. SO. I have mad respect for our Military. So. With this said. I want to thank you for this song and video. Much respect. I also lost a daughter in law in Afghanistan. On that. I want to thank the Patriot Guard. Who protected us during the funeral. Every one was awesome.
I'll never kneel for any man or woman one day I'll be below that flag but until then you better know I'll protect each and every one of ya'll that's my oath as a Marine and I promise till my last breath I am A Marine

As a Marine... as a brother.... this song hits hard. I recently buried my Grandfather. A man who served in the Marines and the National Guard. A Godly man who raised me as his Son rather than his Grandson. My heart still sings for that man. Even in death, I hope to do him proud as a Marine, as a Soldier, as a Brother and as his son.... Simper Fidelis for your grandfather. My Father passed away 3 years ago as a Marine. As they say once a Marine... always a Marine. May they all rest in peace.

I admit I refused to watch the new version, thinking it can’t be better than the original. I love that Coffey Anderson is on this record, too! So many emotions invoked. The end of December, my county had a Deputy senselessly murdered at the side of the interstate as he was responding to a motorist assist call. The Deputy was also a US Navy Veteran. He left behind a wife, a son, daughter, and bonus son, not to mention extended family and countless friends. My Uncle retired from the US Army after 30+ years of service in 2019. They are why I stand for the Pledge of Allegiance, the National Anthem, and everything in between. Thank You for doing the remake. An even deeper Thank You to those who have served, are serving, and those and their families who gave their life so that I may live.
I was not born or live under red white and blue but i was born on the 4th of July. Thank you to all services for keeping us safe love from Glasgow Scotland xxx
Honor their Memory The Ultimate Sacrifice 05/24/2020 by Gerardo Molinar I was caught off guard when I heard of your enlistment, Who would've thought that child's play would lead to a commitment. The war games we played with wooden sticks for guns, The dirty bandages with red paint were all part of our fun. We parted ways to make a life with once in awhile meetings by chance, I paid no heed to talk of war or if our country would make a stance. Time went on with no major news that made any difference to me, That surprised look on my face seeing you in uniform on leave. A quick trip down memory lane of good times that we had, Unknown to me that last goodbye still feels like a painful stab. News about the Heroic way you made the Ultimate Sacrifice, Your life for those around you without thinking about it twice. I can't help but to see your smiling face as Taps echoes at a distance, "Don't be sad or cry for me, for I'd do it again without resistance" Still in a dreamlike state the 3 round volley snaps me back to reality, I look around and for once in my life I see you'll be in good company. The Ultimate Sacrifice given by others so we can remain Free, As the folded Flag is RESPECTFULLY given to your grieving Family. I share the sense of loss with them as my eyes dwell up with tears, As you are laid to your final resting place among all your peers.
Thank you to the Law enforcement For Keeping Our Town Safe Honor for The Officers Whos Fighting Out There For us We Will Never Forget The Amazing Job You Did................

If any soldiers sess this Thank you soldiers for all of you doing and for your service
Such a patriotic song. May we always be grateful for our American soldiers and their families. God bless them all.
I love this song. But I tear up every time I listen to it, thinking of the sacrifices made by my battle buddies. I’ve lost several of my fellow soldiers.
Once again, I just LOVE this song
No survivors guilt bro👊🇺🇸
It's hard not to tear up "because if you knew him you'd understand"
Same. Stay strong battle.
Wow, Amen to your loss what a Great American War Fighter🫡🇺🇸🙏
RESPECT🇺🇸🫡

This my favorite song of all time. I’m glad I found it just in time for Memorial Day. You won’t be forgotten brothers
From the ones who died the first day to the ones who made it home thank you for your service and I respect and salute you doing what I didn't ❤❤
Amen man I didn’t serve in the military but my dad did my family has also. I took another path in life. I respect all our military.
GREAT song!!! Pulls at your heartstrings. God Bless all those serve and their their families. Especially the ones who gave the ultimate sacrifice... Their life to keep us safe. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇲

As a fellow Brit and active serving member of the British military it’s a brothahood we fight to keep each other safe and make sure the mission is successful
And stand strong and tough
32 seconds in and the goosebumps have set in
Bro as soon as I heard the electric guitar I had goosebumps everywhere
As a Marine... as a brother.... this song hits hard. I recently buried my Grandfather. A man who served in the Marines and the National Guard. A Godly man who raised me as his Son rather than his Grandson.
My heart still sings for that man. Even in death, I hope to do him proud as a Marine, as a Soldier, as a Brother and as his son....
Semper Fidelis Richard Lee Solomon.
Simper Fidelis for your grandfather. My Father passed away 3 years ago as a Marine. As they say once a Marine... always a Marine. May they all rest in peace.
BEST PATRIOTIC SONG EVER ❤️💙✝️
One of

Godspeed brother 🇺🇸
Who else is super proud of our men and women that serve? Songs like this make me proud to be an American.
My Son Tyler is in Parris Island trying to become a USMC I'm so proud of him his Graduation is set for April 7th 2023 can not wait to see my best buddy in the world I miss you Son very proud and Honored
Thank you so much to all the service men & woman for what you ❤ ♥
You're welcome
Thank you. This was beautiful.
God bless America.

Honor their Memory
The Ultimate Sacrifice 05/24/2020
by Gerardo Molinar
I was caught off guard when I heard of your enlistment,
Who would've thought that child's play would lead to a commitment.
The war games we played with wooden sticks for guns,
The dirty bandages with red paint were all part of our fun.
We parted ways to make a life with once in awhile meetings by chance,
I paid no heed to talk of war or if our country would make a stance.
Time went on with no major news that made any difference to me,
That surprised look on my face seeing you in uniform on leave.
A quick trip down memory lane of good times that we had,
Unknown to me that last goodbye still feels like a painful stab.
News about the Heroic way you made the Ultimate Sacrifice,
Your life for those around you without thinking about it twice.
I can't help but to see your smiling face as Taps echoes at a distance,
"Don't be sad or cry for me, for I'd do it again without resistance"
Still in a dreamlike state the 3 round volley snaps me back to reality,
I look around and for once in my life I see you'll be in good company.
The Ultimate Sacrifice given by others so we can remain Free,
As the folded Flag is RESPECTFULLY given to your grieving Family.
I share the sense of loss with them as my eyes dwell up with tears,
As you are laid to your final resting place among all your peers.
Thank you to ALL our Service Men and Woman!
The chills the tears the salutes to All military passed on retired still active
Thank you to the Law enforcement For Keeping Our Town Safe Honor for The Officers Whos Fighting Out There For us We Will Never Forget The Amazing Job You Did................
