Yeah, but at the same time its a way to effectively buy the skill on an iron man using another iron man accounts money. You are turning the gold on a max Iron account into xp on a fresh Iron account. That could be considered a bug

Only viable way? You can get up to 1360 uncut dragon stones as a common drop from arch glacor hardmode..... Farming hardmode Arch glacor can get you enough dragon stones to cut to 120 crafting in a week.
FYI - while it's click intensive, you could do fletching a lot faster. (I think it's 3-ticking) but you can click a log, hold the spacebar down, and the moment you've made the item (I was doing staffs), it fletches them waaaaaay faster!
This has been a thing for years. This is the ironman meta, you're definitely not the first person to find this. Pretty sure you yourself were getting boosted by this in fsw 1.5 years ago
@@hadensnodgrass3472 if its a fresh ironman, sure - but dovy (or anyone with 99 dungoneering for that matter) can go in with a full inventory of capes, alch them, then trade the rusty coins to a non lvl 99 dungeoneering fresh account and get all the levels... so, yeah, its kind of busted for boosting new non-iron players skills. - Thing is, no ones going to alch 2.8m of capes for free so you're still spending an arm and a leg for said crafting levels no matter the xp/hr. Also, it's not as busted as some of the methods you can get in the level 40 crafting range id expect with how RS3 is nowadays, so really the only benefit to this is being able to afk the first 65 levels in an hour for like 3m - worth it to some; still more expensive than traditional levelling.

Its not a bug, its been that way for years. Of course its a good way of leveling crafting, its up to 400k xp an hour with almost no gathering time. Thats what im doing for my 200m crafting on my ironman. Ironman shouldnt be able to drop item to another ironman even in dung except for the gatestone, if so that should be a ban. Do Jagex really have time to waste patching this ?
this isnt useful on fresh accounts, because you cant be a fresh account with 99 dung unless you only log it in during dung hole which is unrealistic. by the time you can do this to a reasonable degree, its to late. iron to 120 is the only real way to benefit and your honestly better off doing any other method of gathering crafting mats while training other skills at the same time. obviously costs a shit ton of gp for an iron, which takes time to get. so your effective rates are way lower than what you think.
Lol new account training method and ALL you need is 99 dung and lets say 28 capes 20minutes, so around 90 capes 1 hour = 90 x 99k = around 9 million cash... Very nice, such good wow.
even w/o cape alching, u get 75% of the dg coins in the first few mobs and is 200k+ xp/hr at least in solo regardless of dg size. I made a reddit post about it back in 2018 and people got mad lol

99 dung only is needed. Just that NPC to buy that cape in the max guild requires 99 in every skill to buy it from him. But you could buy it from the norm cape master
I doubt it'll be patched, nor do I think Jagex even cares about it even if they did know. It's an absolute shit training method for mains, and for ironmen it requires another ironman to spend hundreds of mils on... for incredibly shit crafting GPEXP.
I know tis is ironman but i could swear mining gemrocks and cutting the gems after banking a couple thousand of them is better xp or atleast the same as this (minus the mining xp). This is why I think jagex doesnt rly care bout this "feature" all too much. Also as some others stated this required you to have another ironman with a couple mill in cash which makes it even less "op". Again gem rock mining is giga broken specially from crafting lvl 1-70. I've done it from 1-85 on Fresh start worlds i know what i am talking about (the xp rate was still only +10% bonus when i did it).
Its a Deamonheim bug. Its impossible to fix, The only fix they could do is to remove the ability to bring the cape in, but Jagex is scared to touch Daemonheim code, so this is given a blind eye

Make it take longer to craft, reduce the exp from the body crafting, stop you being able to take capes in your inventory, increase the cost of the hide, reduce the alch value of cape in daemonheim... what are you even on about.
@@thelastcreator9001 Deamonheim code is fundamental code for the game, and Jagex has no idea how to properly manipulate or "fix it" without causing the whole game to break. they *could* do a lot of things to fix it, but if they try to, there could potentially be hundreds of different kinds of bugs or the game simply not working as a result of it. They could just revert the change that lets you take the cape into Deamonheim, but the problem is there have been dozens of updates to the game since then. So its not as easy as reverting client versions and pretending you never made that change in the first place. Theres a reason why this is a well known bug for a very long time, and Jagex has made no effort to fix it, nor ban abusers (except for FSW)

Dropping dungeoneering coins over to your own iron is against the rules, as like having an alt help your iron out in gwd or etc, at least it was back in the day...
the point is that money is shared inside the dungeon, meaning a new fresh-out-of-tutorial-island account can do this if they go inside together with a maxed account. And if that other acc is an ironman then you can boost other ironmen too.
Not really by design, it's not free crafting XP by any means in mainscape there's 100 faster and cheaper ways to train crafting assuming you possess gold. Theres no fundamental advantage to this outside of ironman since you can basically leech money off of a richer higher level iron. And they charge a ton of mainscape gp for this service, billions of gp..
@@TheColehabo no it's not, dungeoneering is a team minigame, if you couldnt pick up things other players dropped like room keys for example, or Skilling supplies or parts for puzzles, you couldn't complete the minigame. The problem is that you can alch a dungeoneering cape within daemonheim aka transfer gp to rusty coins. Now this doesn't bother me enough to care either way if I'm being honest. Even afking arch glacor for dragon stones is much better crafting XP and comes with money and summoning XP/charms.

Ironically this is more beneficial for the game than using proteans. At least gp is removed with this method if you play on a main account

This has been the high level ironman meta forever. Its 17.3gp an exp and the only viable way to get 120 craft on ironman, cost like 1.5b though.

I just found out that for 120 youde need to cut 760,800 dragon stones.
It's not a bug, as you are allowed to take dungeoneering capes into floors. Actually it's one of the main methods irons go for 120 crafting.

99 dung only is needed. Just that NPC to buy that cape in the max guild requires 99 in every skill to buy it from him. But you could buy it from the norm cape master
I doubt it'll be patched, nor do I think Jagex even cares about it even if they did know. It's an absolute shit training method for mains, and for ironmen it requires another ironman to spend hundreds of mils on... for incredibly shit crafting GPEXP.

I’ve been using this for awhile.
I know tis is ironman but i could swear mining gemrocks and cutting the gems after banking a couple thousand of them is better xp or atleast the same as this (minus the mining xp). This is why I think jagex doesnt rly care bout this "feature" all too much. Also as some others stated this required you to have another ironman with a couple mill in cash which makes it even less "op". Again gem rock mining is giga broken specially from crafting lvl 1-70. I've done it from 1-85 on Fresh start worlds i know what i am talking about (the xp rate was still only +10% bonus when i did it).

Its a Deamonheim bug. Its impossible to fix, The only fix they could do is to remove the ability to bring the cape in, but Jagex is scared to touch Daemonheim code, so this is given a blind eye

Make it take longer to craft, reduce the exp from the body crafting, stop you being able to take capes in your inventory, increase the cost of the hide, reduce the alch value of cape in daemonheim... what are you even on about.
Why would you be able to alch the cape within dungeoneering?
@@thelastcreator9001 Deamonheim code is fundamental code for the game, and Jagex has no idea how to properly manipulate or "fix it" without causing the whole game to break.
they *could* do a lot of things to fix it, but if they try to, there could potentially be hundreds of different kinds of bugs or the game simply not working as a result of it.
They could just revert the change that lets you take the cape into Deamonheim, but the problem is there have been dozens of updates to the game since then. So its not as easy as reverting client versions and pretending you never made that change in the first place.
Theres a reason why this is a well known bug for a very long time, and Jagex has made no effort to fix it, nor ban abusers (except for FSW)

That's certainly the best way to obtain rusty coins, but it's not exactly a viable crafting method (maybe for ironmen with tons of GP to spare, but even then, I doubt it's worth it).

Dropping dungeoneering coins over to your own iron is against the rules, as like having an alt help your iron out in gwd or etc, at least it was back in the day...

the point is that money is shared inside the dungeon, meaning a new fresh-out-of-tutorial-island account can do this if they go inside together with a maxed account. And if that other acc is an ironman then you can boost other ironmen too.

Not really by design, it's not free crafting XP by any means in mainscape there's 100 faster and cheaper ways to train crafting assuming you possess gold. Theres no fundamental advantage to this outside of ironman since you can basically leech money off of a richer higher level iron. And they charge a ton of mainscape gp for this service, billions of gp..

@@TheColehabo no it's not, dungeoneering is a team minigame, if you couldnt pick up things other players dropped like room keys for example, or Skilling supplies or parts for puzzles, you couldn't complete the minigame. The problem is that you can alch a dungeoneering cape within daemonheim aka transfer gp to rusty coins. Now this doesn't bother me enough to care either way if I'm being honest. Even afking arch glacor for dragon stones is much better crafting XP and comes with money and summoning XP/charms.
