I’m so glad I got to play this game back then was one of my all time favorites I was on it everyday seeing all my favorite characters older and fighting them was so awesome back then rip fusionfall I wish this game gets revived
This topic hits me in a weird place. whenever I saw Commercials about this I wanted to play it DESPERATELY, however at the time I did not have access to the internet. Even when I did finally gain internet the computer(s) I had at the time were just laptops so... ya not a really good time.
It truly does sadden me that this finally happened, but I was aware that it was a possibility. I'm thankful to the gang that revived FusionFall, and kept it running for as long as it did. It truly brought back many fond, and nostalgic, memories.
So cool to see a video on this! One fact that is worth mentioning is that a Minecraft recreation of the entire game is being worked on, and I happen to be part of the team. If you plan to make a follow-up, feel free to contact me.
I played it a few months ago and it is so strange to see that it is no longer there, because although there was always the possibility of closing it, I did not believe that a project about a forgotten game was really going to get the attention of the cartoon network, which would close it. A real shame that the game does not continue as it was, because despite how obsolete it might seem, it was still a fan project for fans, which generated a community of cartoon network lovers, people who felt nostalgic or just people that they wanted to see a retro game, all thrown away because a company wanted to use "legacy" in a title, or maybe it was because of an idiot who couldn't bear to see that a project was flourishing and wanted to throw it all down, but leaving out the possible reasons for its closing, what I want to make clear is that it is a shame that this project has encountered this bump. That said, I know that this is not the end point of this project, or this team, or any of the individuals who participated in this, I know that over time new things will be born thanks to the existence of this project carried out by Fans, this shows that the community that these franchises generated are not lax, that they were not forgotten and that they are still active, seeking to contribute their grain of sand to these franchises that they gave us so much.
Me thinking to myself: Well if CN drop Fusion Fall because they couldn't find no one to run the servers. Group of fans decide to run fanbase server without getting no money out of it. And providing a good experience for players. Then shouldn't CN hired these guy to run the MMO. CN:.. [Laughs] "That's funny kid."

Big thanks to the dev teams that kept the servers going for as long as it did as well as taking time out of their day to add additional content to keep players coming back. As unfortunate as it is that they had to shut it down i hope that the game provided great experience and i cant wait to see what original IP these devs come up on their own.
I am very sad to have learned this! But, I'm quite grateful I had the chance to go back and play it before the fan servers shut down. It is sad, but understandable. I will miss all the late nights I had playing FF. RIP
I remember playing the beta of FusionFall before it came out. Where most of the premium stuff was free and then the official release. Which sadly yes, was when I stopped playing because I also didn't have money >_>; and then once it became free again I didn't have a computer that could handle it anymore
One of the odd things my previous laptop came with was a link to _FusionFall_ , which also made it the first MMORPG I ever played. I was one of those freeplayers who maxed out three accounts' worth of characters while waiting for the game to go F2P, and also participated in the Kill Teams ambushing the two big boss mobs the devs put in to entertain the mobs of players (I did figure out the way to solo them, but when the whole group was there, they went down in 1 second flat). I do remember I got 3 or characters to the end of the game, and then, without providing further level-ups, a whole bunch of Nanos were introduced, along with content from _Generator Rex_ , _Symbiotic Titan_ , _Adventure Time_ , and maybe a few other shows. Being a kid-friendly MMO, there was no PvP whatsoever, but there was also no class-system: How you fought depended upon the weapons you had equipped, and the game had some pretty good character customization for what it was. But the difficulty of the dungeons didn't adjust when you were playing as part of a team as opposed to playing solo, so sometimes victory felt cheap. And despite the social experience, you could solo the whole game. So on the one hand, I did manage to give one of my characters Ben's green jacket. Just one. On the other hand, my female characters often got hit on, which I found to be highly embarrassing. I mean, it wasn't appropriate conduct for a game aimed at children.. and the pick-up lines were what we now call 'cringe.' I only dropped the game when disconnects would happen every 5 minutes: not enough time to clear a single dungeon, so why bother playing? I never realized fans were maintaining their own servers. I regret that, and the fact I could have recorded some gameplay to share. I just didn't know. From _FusionFall_ I found _Scarlet Blade_ , an adult-oriented future-fantasy Korean grinder with an actually okay story, and some interesting mechanics in some of the characters. Unfortunately the Whipper's clothing was comparable to a hand-towel that was clearly insufficient for her proportions. She did have skills that had the effect of turning me into a Berserker, though, and I generally main Support, meaning the Medic. Then Aeria goofed up a few too many maintenance, and the glitches and lag made it impossible to play. They shut it down. The game has a private server now, though end-game content is entirely team-based. From _Scarlet Blade_ I went to _Echo of Soul_ , another Aeria game, but one without a dedicated healer. This time I did more dungeon crawling since the best gear could be found there. This meant I remained ignorant of much of the story. Endgame gear depends on you working up tier by tier, essentially, so if you had to restart your game (say, after the launch of the _Phoenix_ version) and only joined in late, you had a hard time of it. I still like some parts of the game, but there isn't as much of a community presence anymore. I honestly don't even know if the game's still operative. I just didn't feel like keeping up the grind. _Revelations Online_ was never completely translated for its Western release. I enjoyed the character creation when it had sliders, and the fact that classes were not gender locked. But sometimes I just could not understand what was going on, and dailies often felt like a grind, and I ended up only with enough time to do dailies. Too bad, as I enjoyed the flight, swimming, and dashing mechanics. Characters could do some interesting things. Which is when, nine years late, I found _Star Trek Online_ . Currently 10 years old, the game has a stable community of players and a studio that's passionate about the franchise, which took over developing the title after the original studio went bankrupt. It has customization like crazy, so many choices for players, and a supportive community. The story, for the most part, is great, and it's populated by NPCs you either enjoy greatly, or love to hate. _STO_ 's biggest pitfall is that it is 10 years old, and it shows. Combat can be clunky, and there are glitches, most prominently rubberbanding, but it is still an experience I find enjoyable. Which is to say that I'm still playing it, and plan to continue to play it for as long as it stays operational. Another big pitfall is that the tutorial doesn't cover everything you need to know to play the game well. Which is why I and so many others made our own tutorials! Anyway, that's my MMO history.
i loved this game! and i followed the development of the fan recreation!!! ...Then i got busy with college and couldnt keep track of it anymore so i missed out on playing it T-T

I never played it but it was so nostalgic anyway. Also it was one of the first high profile games made in Unity so I come back to see how far that engine has come but what it could still do back in 2008ish :)
I remember really liking this game when it was out. I was actually lucky enough to get to play the beta before FusionFall officially launched and it was really fun but the lack of content after release made my stop playing as I started getting really into playing WoW.
I was around 10 years old when my elder brother used to play this game and I sat beside him as a spectator, I could barely remember the game only some scenes i can recall now, I remember this game to have had amazing graphics and it was the coolest thing I ever saw at that time, I forgot the name of the game so i just searched "cartoon network open-world game " and this video popped up. It feels so weird to think that now I am 18 years old! I never really write such big comments but this just made me realize how many things happen in life and how many phases we go through, Hope all of you who are reading this are doing well in life, : )
I personally remember hearing about it around when it came out but just never got around to playing it.(never played an online game before it and was mainly a ps2 player so the change was off-putting) As for it being kept alive by fans, I didn't know that at all. Even if I never played it myself I'm happy others got to and even happier that fans of it even kept it going for much longer.
I remember loving this game as a kid, and then it shut down and i was so sad. A few months ago, i found out there was FusionFall Retro, and I downloaded it but it had trouble starting, so I took a break from trying and decided I would try again in a little while. I tried again a few days ago and the game wouldn't even run, then I found out that it had shut down for good. I never even got to play it again and now I never will unfortunately.
I didn't realize that it was still around! When I was younger, I didn't have internet at home and I assumed the game was gone since they didn't play ads for it after a time. I wish I had just googled it when I had the chance :/

It sucks because the game got taken down by one guy.
"One asshole ruins harmless fun for everyone" -- The Internet in a Nutshell
I actually cried when they shut down the game first time.. Never had the chance to try the new FF tho cuz I don't have a pc and I was tryna save up to play with my buddy whom I met on FF back then and we still friends.. Such an awesome game, amazing memories, met amazing people. I hope they bring the game back someday-somehow.. It deserves it. For em fans, for the kids who used to love all those amazing cartoon characters and honestly? For the sake of our childhood memories.. Bringing it back would be awesome! FF was my first MMO. Freakin loved it!
i remember when i first saw the updated designs of the characters i was shocked. my family didn't have a computer or internet back then but i remember really wanting to play this game.
I would do anything to go back to those times, those were my golden days waking up early on weekends to hop on our crappy pc to play just brings back my addiction for it
Are you wearing eyeliner or mascara or something on one eye? The left lashes look way darker than the right.
And it looks purplish above the other one
I don't actually know why it looks darker. I tried messing with color during editing and probably screwed something up.
Nice spot I didn't even notice
@@NegativeLegend i was gonna say you look good in eyeliner lol
Looks like the contrast got cranked up a little.
@@NegativeLegend Fix it soon, its so distracting looking at it.
Fusion Fall felt like CN had been reading Bleedman's comic and said, how do we monetize this?
I mean thats more or less the case
apparently there were plans to hire him for design but executives shot it down
Every franchise ends at the moment a television company gets involved and tries to make things better/cooler/modern.
Can you do what happened to Lalaloopsy
I remember that
Luma Dreamer me too
Coraline happened
I have, at different stages of my life, shifted among being a Disney Channel human, a Nickelodeon human, and a Cartoon Network human. Now, at the end of this long journey of revelation and enlightenment, I now realize that we are all one as PBS Kids humans.
I was a kid of all 3 channels because I was picky with my shows and kept skipping between the 3 for shows I would actually sit down and watch.
(sorry for the bad english)
Me thinking to myself:
Well if CN drop Fusion Fall because they couldn't find no one to run the servers.
Group of fans decide to run fanbase server without getting no money out of it. And providing a good experience for players.
Then shouldn't CN hired these guy to run the MMO.
CN:.. [Laughs] "That's funny kid."
Well for me I was all the above cause I like to watch cartoons and live action shows
CN & Nick were my go-to platforms of choice when it came to escaping from reality as a kid.
I remember playing the game for a few days when I was younger however what I remember mostly about fusionfall is the spin-off game fusionfall heroes wich I would play with my friend in elementary school like crazy
really hope you do a video on fusionfall heroes too
omg yes fusionfall heroes i played that all the time
Love your content man!!!!
been watching since your early force of will videos,
and I must say... your turning more blue' er by each video.
but if that is your style, I support it.
Big thanks to the dev teams that kept the servers going for as long as it did as well as taking time out of their day to add additional content to keep players coming back. As unfortunate as it is that they had to shut it down i hope that the game provided great experience and i cant wait to see what original IP these devs come up on their own.
I remember being super young and too broke to have decent internet and just mostly raging and failing at trying to make the game start at all.
Now I just want to know about Deltora quest, because that shit felt like a fever dream
I played this game when I had surgery when I was in middle school good times.
I mean, it wasn't appropriate conduct for a game aimed at children.. and the pick-up lines were what we now call 'cringe.'
I only dropped the game when disconnects would happen every 5 minutes: not enough time to clear a single dungeon, so why bother playing?
Anyway, that's my MMO history.
i was very mad when cartoon network got fusionfall retro shutdown because I loved playing it a lot
Well dang...I'm glad I got to play FF Retro for a while at least.
I hadn't logged in on it in a few months...now I wish I'd played it more...
Thanks for the vid, really wondered where this game went back in the day, just kinda disappeared. Also, Your eyeliner/mascera looks great man!
A sad story, now Mayhem scared to open free realms. Took one person to f*ck up the whole thing... Childish...
i loved this game! and i followed the development of the fan recreation!!! ...Then i got busy with college and couldnt keep track of it anymore so i missed out on playing it T-T
I remember watching my brother play this game! I loved seeing all the characters I loved in the same world. Especially my boy Rex from Generator Rex
bruh, i know im late as hell but like i didnt actually exist when fusion fall was up but when i was younger i always watched videos on fusion fall, wishing it would come back or i was able to play it cuz i was poor and stuff so a free fun interesting game was the perfect thing to me but like youre telling me ALL THIS TIME SOMEONE BROUGHT IT BACK?! and now i cant even experience the game for myself cuz well :/
There's a few working offline versions

Thank you so much for bringing this issue to light for all of us players of retro/legacy
I never played it but it was so nostalgic anyway.
Also it was one of the first high profile games made in Unity so I come back to see how far that engine has come but what it could still do back in 2008ish :)
I remember really liking this game when it was out. I was actually lucky enough to get to play the beta before FusionFall officially launched and it was really fun but the lack of content after release made my stop playing as I started getting really into playing WoW.
if they revive this with paid subscription, TAKE MY BLOODY BROKE ASS MONEY 😭😭😭
Fun fact: The character designs for FusionFall was inspired by Powerpuff Girls D
Damm Cartoon Network shut this game down twice like wtf man shit I miss fusion fall retro and Legacy man
I honestly forgot about FusionFall. I always wanted to play it as a kid but never could.
@Potato ごのひ Chips Wow, I had no idea that it came back at least for a while. Too bad I never got to play it
Welp- I’m Sad for a 2nd Time- However! I’m still happy I got to revisit my childhood...🙂
I remembered playing this game all the time. I really liked the designs.
I can't believe I'm finding out about this just now it looks so cool!
damn bro, you missed out big time. fusionfall was and always will be my favorite game of all time.
Fusion Fall Retro was so good and it saddens me to hear all the drama that happened with the team that ended up getting it shut down.
Glad I could help answer some questions! Video turned out great ^^
I didn't realize that it was still around! When I was younger, I didn't have internet at home and I assumed the game was gone since they didn't play ads for it after a time. I wish I had just googled it when I had the chance :/
I had, literally never known about this existing, what the actual hell.
Ah poor guy
Man, I loved thise old cartoons.
Powerpuff girls, Ed Edd and Eddy and The grim adventures were my jams (these are more I'm not mentioning but all of them are amazing!).
The designs for fusionfall are amazing.
Nicely done! I'm subscribing! I really sad FusionFall got shut down again and I hope something will happen with the IP again....
This was a really hard pill to swallow and to this day Im still working on accepting it
Dude I've been sobbing over Fusionfall
Dexter was my comfort character
I even had a crush on Fusionfall dex
I just
I just wanna see him again
Well, at least we have the one-shot fusion fall manga.
This was the best game I ever played on computer
I just got back into playing during quarantine & I was excited because it was just how I remembered. Bummed I can't reach my goal of getting all the nanos 😭
Oh man I wish they would reboot Fusion Fall with the new Pebby show coming out on Adult Swim

Well, actually I was more of a "All of the above" kid, plus Jetix and others
This would have never happened if AT&T didn't buy Warner Bros.
Tbh the most addicting thing of about this game is collecting the nanos

Bruh I loved this game soo much , I even followed the kickstart for the fan started version
Is it bad that I’m a kid of all three channels? They say variety is the spice of life!
Only thing I remember from FusionFall was being warped to an area that’s just an ocean and some islands. Still have no idea what that was all about.
