This reminds me of 2013 when Sky Ferreira became famous on tumblr for the everything is embarrasing video. It feels like something detached from the industry. The song and video give me this desperate yearning for freedom - dancing on the rootftop by yourself while the idiot managers for the music label are locked away in the offices below, trying and failing to figure out the future of the music industry. Meanwhile, one of their brightest stars is dancing right above them, over their heads, out of sight, in the sky, bearing her soul on an empty rooftop. I love that the song is this epic banger that I'd die to dance to in a club, yet the lyrics and video have this melancholic weight to them. So amazing. Love you forever Kim. Please release your art in whatever ways you can. People will listen.
