Why is it in Russia that people say "lets step to the side" or "get in my car" or "come with me". It sounds weird from my american perspective almost like they want to kidnap them or like they dont already know what will happen if they step to the side.

Russian men are usually very macho and wanna prove a point, and when they say to someone "let's step aside" or "take a ride in my car with me", it's their way of trying to intimidate you and show you that you're smaller than him. The fucked up thing is like maybe 2 in 100 will not talk back and just move on. But the other 98 will get into an argument with you and eventually they will punch you in the face. This coming from a Russian native, now living in Sweden.
