So my wife and I just got back home to Honolulu from visiting South Korea and Jeju island. Its beautiful and we loved cherry blossoms! Great food, though the kimchi varies from places. Definitely loved Jeju moreso than Seoul! Busan was great too!
The only one bad experience I myself had and what my wife also witnessed, was when I would get the stink eyes accompanied with the elevator eyes by older men(assuming 45-60 yrs old). And I mean a double or even triple look from them. Like I look disgusting or something or stole something lol.
For context, I’m an easy going guy work in the health department as an RT, and I am tatted, full neck hands and arms. I was always covered up with the exception of my neck and hands, but couldn’t comprehend why the dirty looks from these older gentlemen.
Can anyone from Korea or here chine in on why that was? One guy even spat on the asphalt after doing a double take! Like..uhhh?? And I’m not even mad dogging or giving dirty looks! Just smiling enjoying the views the cherry blossoms!

i feel so confused and weird when you switch between english and busan dialect. its like a typical European girl transforms into a Korean girl whenever she wants.
영어는 국어와 마찬가지로 필수인데도 제대로 말도 못하는 영어 교육 집어 치워야지. 뭐하러 배우냐. 우리나라 영어 교육은 망했다. 제대로 말을 하게 만들어야 될거야냐.
