- This error was extremely infuriating and since I feel like I have the solution I decided to make a tutorial video on it. I don't generally make tutorial videos, but I wanted to assure everyone your PS4 isn't broken. It's just being a piece of shit.

Can't remember if I mentioned this in the video but when you have your ps4 turned off make sure you UNPLUG THE CONTROLLER, THEN PLUG IT BACK IN, AND THEN TURN THE PLAYSTATION ON.

@@ImGoaty Glad it worked. This freaked me the fuck out so I don't want other people to worry. From now on if I can fix issues with my consoles as they come up I'm gonna make tutorials to help because I've fixed my fair share of consoles.
every option i click in safe mode ends up having a error code or cant initialize or cant acccess system storage msg pops up do you know wat i can do
@@romeomarrero3204 I'm a little confused. When you try to download the system update via online or usb it gives you the error code I'm talking about in this video?
@@Brock0Clock it shows diffrent codes on diffrent things i click must just be a corrupted hard drive witch is retarted not buying ps4 again or any ps for that matter

Thank you so much, my ps4 has been messed up for over a month now, and I finally got it to work, it took me a lot of cords but one finally worked and I was able to download the update from my laptop. it was 7.02 or something like that, that messed me up. Now it is finally working again!!! thank you so much

I fixed this 6months ago & having to do it again yesterday, I couldn’t get out of the error frozen /screen mode into safe mode until I followed your steps (especially about being sure to unplug controller once shut off & start up in safe mode) that was what finally unfrozen the error code screen to the ‘plug in a ps4 controller into the PS4’. I was a chin hair from losing my mind until I came across your video! Thank u, you are Da Man!!

@@jahyzhz5274 when the screen pops up saying cannot turn on ps4 connect the controller to your ps4 and it should turn on if not use a different cable that's all I got cuz it worked with a different cable

The trick for me was to get an entirely new usb cord. Not even the same type, but a different species if you will

Why does this error happen. This is the second time in 2 months it has happened to me. It worked the instructions you gave worked the first time but now it won’t work. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Help!!! :( I’ve done everything you have and my controller is still MIA. It will flash the blue light for a second and than show orange?! What is happening!?
That is the issue I had. I used a different usb cord to connect to the controller. Some people reported have to try 3 or even 4 different usb cords to get it to not do that. Find as many as you can and try different ones. It may also help to try a different controller but I personally didn't do that.
