I really hope that Linkin Park, Grey Daze, and Dead by Sunrise have many unreleased songs that Chester recorded so they can release them slowly through many years that way we can always hear new music from Chester and it will never feel as though he left us. I really miss him so badly 😭
I wish it was so many demo songs
I'm pretty sure they do. In the DVD The Making of Meteora, Mike, I believe, said they had like, 60 songs recorded but had to choose the best ones. And I believe they also have some unrecorded for Hybrid Theory (that's the one I want to hear the most) . Chester.....we miss you. The world is not the same without you 💔
Great idea lov appreciate it thanks here for cheszy
There arent any OML demos relased, but im 100% sure that they have many of them
Sorry it will not happen linkin park collapsed in 2017 they won't make any new music anymore #RIPLINKINPARK(1996-2017)
I had never heard of Grey Daze or that it was Chester's band. I clicked on this video by random luck and you could imagine my surprise not expecting to hear that voice again.

KICK ASS YOUNG FELLA !!!! LOVE IT!!!
robby q Yes Sir Can’t wait man been playing the shit outta their 1st two albums and the 3 they released nonstop lol
Gray daze was Chester's band before he joined Linkin Park
I can't remember ever crying over a "celebrity" death but his still haunts to this day, I was so taken back, driving in a work car and the radio paid tribute to him with a minute dedication and I just remember sitting there sobbing so much..... it was so raw. Growing up listening to linkin park was a massive part of my life, I went through so many struggles as a teen with abuse and mental illness but even with the fondest memories, their music was there for me to listen and express myself to. Hell I even lost my virginity to the meteora album playing in the background. Thank you for releasing this. RIP Chester. Still loved and missed.
I remember my local radio station played shadow of the day after he died. Very emotional. No celebrity death has ever touched me the way this did. RIP Chester, I hope the person who hurt and took advantage of you as teenager burns in hell.
Same for me... Chester was.. No IS my Hero. He helped me through so many hard times and my mental illnesses. The first time I heard Linkin Park was when I was like 11 years old and now I'm almost 29. I even got myself a tattoo last year to honor him. I'll miss him forever.
Good to know that I wasn't the only grown guy which cried like a child after he passed... Still unbelievable
Hell yeah man we are dick brothers. Lost mine to the same album.
I used to laugh at a friend of mine who got all emotional about Kurt Cobain when we were kids(early 90s babies.) But as an adult after Chester Passed I understood him. So weird to cry over an idol, but I didn't pages and projects on him and the band. I never felt closer to someone I met, and I definitely cried when the news broke, and still well up hearing new/old projects like this.
lukeslayer it was such a shock. music to me will never be the same and it sucks knowing there was so much more he could have created we’ll never get to know/hear
i love how accurately they portray depression with this. it's not always just some kid with scars and eyeliner, it can be the most normal, smiling people that seem so happy. depresssion has no face.
It most definitely does not have a face. Believe me when I say that
I don't think this song is about depression, and by my opinion the video does not represent the emotion and the meaning of this song very well. Even if it is trying to portray depression in some way.
@@iamcalmlikeabomb According to Grey Daze Chester said it was about feelings of inadequacy and emptiness. The lyrics speak to addiction- it may not be addiction to substance but to something he desired but couldn't get. Grey Daze said the video was based on a true story from when Chester was around 15. He had been bullied and one day took a bad beating from them.
It’s so eerie hearing his voice again on a new track. It almost felt for a second like he was back. Really miss you Chester. Thank you to the band for doing this, this is truly a gift to the world.
vanessavayy it originally came out in 1997 on their album “No Sun Today”
M&N Distribution I mean with it being rereleased and all on the new album with a music video and all you know?
Yes, I kinda freaked out dude.
you clearly havent heard Cross Off by Mark Morton. i massively urge you to watch the video.
Malicious Destruction I actually have heard cross off...... no need to be assuming lol. And yes, it’s an amazing song. But that was released at the beginning of 2019 so it’s been a while is my point.
When the chorus hit, I couldnt control my tears. Thats Chester at his prime screaming his heart out to the world alright. We miss you man. The world's been never the same.
For 20+ years he was screaming, trying to get help. And we all failed him. 😭

As the old phrase goes, "A legend never dies until the last man who remembers his work dies."
The greatest vocalist in music ever lives on forever...
I feel like he has returned from the other side.
Just like when I heard "You Know Your Right" by Nirvana out if the blue on the radio after Kurt's death it actually scared me.
To many, like myself, he never left, and he never will.
I kept sensing Chester's presence
Edit: can't believe this happened, I wasn't expecting that many to relate
Same
Me too. Like he's right there.
Feels like. I didn't say goodbye to him.
Definitely never left our hearts
Same.. he's saved so many lives.. touched so many souls..
How in God's name could a teenager write a song like this? Chester was a teen when he wrote this song.
this song came on the radio one day when i was driving in the car with my boyfriend, and we both got really quiet before we looked at each other in disbelief. for a brief moment it was as if he was still alive and had just released another single. we were a strange mixture of excited, sad, and confused. i remember grinning from ear to ear with tears in my eyes for the rest of the ride home, as it was only recently i was finally able to listen to linkin park again without getting really depressed. i don't know, it just all felt really cosmic.
Man. It’s so heartbreaking listening to his voice knowing that he’s not with us anymore😢
Man. *Laughs* it's so funny listening to his voice.😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹
I mean I could have known about this like a month ago in May last month. The 3rd of May and I found this funny.
Still not over Chester's death. He helped myself and so many others with that magical voice of his. He had a voice that simply isn't replaceable. Certainly appreciate you guys putting these newer versions of these masterpieces out as they deserve so much recognition.
Rest in Peace, Chester 💔

Man. I've never heard anyone talk about depression, lack of understanding, anxiety, hopelessness etc like Chester did, and yet we ignored all the signs. Chester's music helped me through a lot of tough years in hell and I'm so thankful for it. Just hearing his voice again is so amazing.
Suicide doesnt end pain, It just passes it to someone else
Almost two years ago, I had my heart crushed. I went to my junior prom with this girl that was a knockout. We were born literally a day apart from each other. She didn't go to my school but wanted to go to my prom instead. I asked her out after but told me she had a boyfriend. I was socially awkward at the time I didn't know how to handle it. A few weeks later, I was driving home from work and there was a semi about a couple thousand feet ahead of me. I floored it and just when I was about to hit it I let off.Thankfully I told someone and got the help I needed. What I'm trying to say is that suicide may seem like the only way out like I thought it was at the time but I remembered all the people that cared about me
@@robertrose3777 man, listen to me, i perfectly know how that feels, when i started dating the Crush of my life 6 years ago, one day she sent me a picture of 3 used condoms with the label of "i came back with my exboyfriend".

This is an exact page out of his book.
he was bullied in school like his mom and Sean discussed in an interview.
this is exactly what he went through in school, this was his way of letting out hurt that bothered him forever
He writing the lyrics of this song and tearing out the pages from his book. 😹😹 I don't know why he is doing that, but makes me giggle.
My god I love this.... Its very haunting listening to this so many years after his death.... I'm glad we get to listen to his epic and wonderful voice again.
damn the lyrics are crazy knowing chesters childhood
Meteora was the first album I owned. It was given to me by a friend for my 11th or 12th birthday.
I had to listen to it on a CD Walkman at night - in secret.
For the first time I got to hear music that completely understood me and the things that hurt me deep down inside.
Chester's music has been with me ever since and serves as a constant reminder that I'm not alone in where I've been and the feelings I live with.
I hope he knows how much he meant to so many of us. How much we love him. And that he is free of all that pain he carried for so long.
It took me a whole year to be okay hearing Chester's voice again, due to me constantly feeling like my heart was shattering knowing the outcome in 2017. He was so impactful to my life growing up, along with Chris Cornell. I miss their talents and them so much. They kept me alive.

I had that moment with Cross Off, I walked past my husband listening to a song and stopped, said "wow... what is that?"
Same here. When I heard it in the radio, titled as "new song" from Grey Daze (never heard of them before), I thought hey why don't they take him as a new singer for Linkin Park. Then I googled the band and realised..

Beautiful and sublime tribute to Chester. We will never be able to fully know what is in the mind of someone we love, but there will always be opportunities to open our hearts to them and listen to those silent cries that are deep within their own being.
Wow. Just wow. Never heard of them before, I heard Chester's voice and was immediately taken back. Never expected to be able to listen to a new song from him again. Always been a favorite, amazing voice. This gave me chills.
Never be a disliker on this channel, this channel is to honor a legend and the support from countless people could save the lives of others, so like the video even though you might not like Linkin Park or Grey. But be the people who Chester would have wanted to live... the people who cherish life and respect the weak and defenseless.

Chester’s presence is so strong in these songs. I’ve been feeling this from the first time I heard a Grey Daze song. I also completely relate. It helps so much to have him here. It’s amazing.🖤✌🏼
This is what defines Chester, his stunning voice and emotional honesty, not his end. The video is like Mike (the friend) saving Chester from the twats (that's what I'm taking from it because that's the real story).
Tina K Apparently the video is based on a real event, when Chester was badly beaten by bullies and Sean Dowdell, the drummer of Grey Daze, decided to take him under his wing as an older brother/protector figure.
@@Melissa.Garrett The video can be interpreted in other ways though. That's how I see it as a homage to Mike Shinoda.
Except Mike wasn't his friend. His own family confirmed this.
@@dnaglitchgaming6565 Chester himself said he loved Mike. I guess that doesn't count anymore? As for the family issues that have come out about Chester not getting on with Linkin Park etc, just know he stayed with them for 20 years and that tells you everything. Even if we don't all get on at work I'd fucking love my "colleagues" FOREVER if we ever created anything nearly as epic as Hybrid Theory and Meteora. Also, I don't think Chester was going to be a victim ever again and he would never have allowed anyone to use him like that. He stayed in Linkin Park because he wanted to and he achieved a lot by doing so. The family are left with the aftermath of suicide and this is likely to embitter their viewpoint, especially when you can't explain or comprehend what happened and what you do without this person in your life. You blame everyone and yet the real sad thing is you only ever believe it's your own fault... I hope they take all the sadness and frustration and let it go.
