    I’m a year one student of the University of Hong Kong, my major is Chemistry, but the first chapter of my Chemistry course are *ALL QUANTUM PHYSICS* , and I still don’t understand what is wave function and what it represents, u have best Chemistry teaching videos on RUclips(in my opinion), I would be very appreciate if u can make a video for explaining wave function, wish u have a great day.

    Is their no way to calculate the ionic charge of a polyatomic molecule, simply commiting to memory is an issue so knowing a "one way fits all" formula for determing ion charge would be more convenient

    • @aswinganji7870
      @aswinganji7870 5 месяцев назад +1

      Charges is simply the no of protons and neutrons cancelling each other out. If you could just know the atomic no, you would theoretically able to calculate charge.

      the best way is to just be familiar with them tbh it is really easy to memorize polyatomic ions with their charges, you can't just simply calculate them because they vary differently, there are polyatomic ions that contain oxygen, nitrogen, halogens, chalcogens, etc.. transition metals, for instance, have variable charges so it is unpredictable.
