- What are Fatha, Kasra and Dammah?
The Fatha, Kasra and Dammah are called the (Harakaat) (Vowels) of letters and they are Small symbols that affect the sound of (a) letter.
The Harakah might be placed Above the letter as a Small diagonal mark. This is known as Fatha. (-َ)
It (may) also be placed Below the letter as a small diagonal mark. This is known as Kasra. (-ِ)
Or it might be placed Above the letter as a small Waw. This is known as a Dammah. (-ُ)
Note: The Harakat (Vowels) in Arabic language only used with the letter (بَ - بِ - بُ).
Brilliant! Thank you so much, very helpful
Asslm Aleikum walahumatullah wabarakatuh
This is an awesome video, really helping me learning! Jazakallahu khayr for your hard work!
Masha Allah banbi sheikh may Allah bless you sir
To me these are more difficult to understand than learning the alphabet. It’s like some of them pretty much sound the same or a slight sound tht is barely noticeable. Anyway every new language is always hard at first, bt with practice it becomes easier to understand.
Amazing thank you
Thank you very Much for video
Masha allah
I don’t think I get it yet
Why you didn't pronounce the initial Q sound in Qudila it sounded Udila? Is it because of your dialect?
I only started learning arabic two weeks ago, so I am definitely not en expert, but I know that the pronunciation of ق varies greatly from dialect to dialect. In some, it is pronounced as a pharyngealized k, in others it is pronounces like a g (as in "to go") or as a glottal stop.
Alhamdulillah ❤
