My maternal grandparents were his disciple. The following incidence happened long after my grandmother was initiated. Once she had some family crisis and went to Belur Math in the morning for some peace. She didn't have enough money and barely had money for the bus fare. It was the lunch time and my grandmother was extremely hungry. To take her mind away she sat near the Ganges. Swami Virajananda was served lunch. Swami before eating asked the server : Have you all eaten? The server replied yes everyone had their lunch. But Swami said still one person is very hungry and go and feed that person first. They all went around the Math and asked everyone whom they met if that person had lunch or not. Then after searching for a while one person reached near the Ganges and found my grandmother. When asked she replied that she din't eat. Immediately she was taken to lunch room and was served lunch with many different varieties. After my grandmother's lunch when the server went back to Swami, he told them that now everyone had eaten and then only he ate his lunch. Indeed he was Antarjami! Swami was my grandmother's guru. On that day she didn't go and meet him and I am not sure if every disciple comes to Belur can meet his/her guru without having appointment. But the guru in this case felt the pain of his disciple. I am not sure if such divinity still exists at Belur anymore! The above mentioned story my mother repeated to us many times. I would also like to add one other incidence. My mother was about 15 years old. My grandparents wanted my mother also to be initiated by the Swami. But the Swami refused saying after her marriage she may have different faith and belief. Indeed that was case.
One feeling that goes through the whole reminiscences is Divine Joy. This is the fruit of Satsang. Our soul is instantly uplifted to a higher plane.Many many thanks the uploader and Pranam to Maharaj

I had the privilege of showing this video from my phone sometime during Feb'16 to Swami Sridharananda himself at his backside room of Sydney Vedanta Center old building. He was pleasantly surprised and asked who uploaded it. Informed me that a similar one CD version available at Vedanta Center. also for collection. That time I didn't know much about Mondaymedia and just said name as it was in RUclips. During Sunday Gita Class and at some other retreats, heard him sharing one or two incidents of those days but this is indeed an excellent collection. Later I came to know more about Mondaymedia /Jon and what a rare treasure that you gathered all these years. Didn't know much as about Swami Asheshananda, Swami Prabhavananda ji's time at US centers but these videos give us glimpses of those illuminated souls.

And through this marvellous reminiscence we get a perfect picture of a perfect guru - the ability to see through a person, spotting a worthy disciple, making the surroundings conducive for the disciple’s entry into the Order, and tremendous patience, care, love and affection to mould a ‘raw’ brahmachari to a spiritual giant. yes Guru Maharaj mean Thakur Ramkrishna Paramhamsa only, Swamiji means Swami Vivekananda and Holy Mother means Shaardaa Maa
