Great to see the summer camp coaches from the 70’s and 80’s can still teach the beauty of sliding

Very nice! People should really learn to ski with that nice rollover and rhythm, regardless of age. This gentleman will be skiing for years to come, beautiful technique😊

Congratulations buddy, this is by far best skiing I ever seen from a skier of your age. By far.

Yah, I'll be the old guy skiing past you yelling - Why are you taking up the entire run, and never looking over your shoulder? Then you'll yell back - Cause downhill skier has right-of-way. Then I'll swerve in front of you when I get downhill, and ask you if you change back and forth from lane to lane without ever checking your rear-view mirror? LOL

Same age. Back on the slopes this weekend for the first time since pre-Covid, but this is my 55th year of skiing and it felt great. Grew up skiing in the east but have made many ski trips out west and finally resettled in the PNW two years ago. Would love to know your favorite ski areas and skis for old farts! I am mostly on front side groomers these days but occasional bumps and crud if my knees aren't screaming at me. (We were visiting Mt Hood a few years ago while the Canadian National Ski Team was training there. It was in August!). Your videos are great - you should make more. BTW, nice turns!

Winters coming ! If you have a chance try Sun Peaks. Big resort, lots of terrain and always looking to improve. They built another new lift in West Bowl this summer. Good infrastructure in the way of restaurants and hotels. Very few lineups at the lifts. I am allergic to lineups so generally stay away from the more “hip” mega resorts. Silver Star is a good one too and Apex is quaint, normally great snow, older lifts but some great steep skiing. In the East Kootenays region Panorama and Fernie Snow Valley are good choices with big vertical. Have a great winter !

I like to be at the bottom line of the target group 😉 Nice videos 👍 and an important message: if we have learned to use the downhill force correctly and naturally, skiing is so much more easy and it doesn’t depend on the age - barely 😉👍

Glenn Wurtele is known among younger folks because there's a clip of him taking a ski jump on fire that is in the intro to Malcolm in the Middle. Man is a legend!

at higher speeds weight transfer happens more spontaneously. At very slow speeds weight transfer must be deliberate. My favorate task is super slow motion with color commentary. That is where you try to make parallel turns at the slowest possible speed while you babble constantly out loud to your self, Put weight on the new outside ski before you turn! It is some times funny, always hard, no one want to do it. Mikela Shiffern does it best, she does every thing the best.

Body mass is not through the chest and stomach area for women, but lower, through the hips/ Might be nice to see some tips for us old fart women, too.
