    It would have been nice to see it with actual traffic :)

      Good point. I’ll be sure to show the actual traffic flow in the next one!

    Very nice for anyone starting out, thanks 🚦🚗 the nodes were a little wonky though so instead of using the curved tool I just made a cross then freeformed from point to point so the nodes were exact.

      Awesome! Thank you for sharing! 💥
      Yeah, the nodes can definitely be wonky and take some extra work, but that sounds like a creative and perfect solution!
      Well done! 👏🏼

    This is called a British roundabout I believe. I use it a lot too, it's simple to setup compared to other interchanges and scalable. One more thing can be done in your example. A U-turn can be made for those roads, split between entrance and exit, coming into the roundabout. That way only right-turning (left hand driving) needs to enter the roundabout for those branches.

    It looks very nice. However it will not function as intended. The Ai will not use the elevated section. They always choose highway over normal roads. You would have to upgrade the elevated road to highway to force the Ai to continue straight. But like I said looks good.

      I greatly appreciate the support! I will continue making videos like this one, and I hope you continue to find them helpful.
      I have another (3-way instead of 4-way) intersection tutorial in the works, by the way. It should be out this coming Saturday.

    Are there any real-life locations that have used this design? If not, there should be!

    • @CitiesOnConsole
      @CitiesOnConsole  Год назад +2

      That is actually a great question. I have never seen it myself, but it does seem like it should exist somewhere! It’s been my go-to for a long time playing CS. I have used many types of interchanges, and this one always works wonders!

    • @user-rx2ur5el9p
      @user-rx2ur5el9p Год назад +2

      @@CitiesOnConsole Yeah, it really is a genius layout. I guess it wouldn't be cheap to build or maintain in real life, and it would take up a lot more space than a diamond interchange, but I think that would be entirely worth it in medium-to-high density areas, because it would be almost literally impossible for traffic to back up, since the tunnel and the bridge go to under and over each other and don't intersect.

    There is nothing efficient about three lane roundabout. 😂

    • @CitiesOnConsole
      @CitiesOnConsole  Год назад

      Considering the way the traffic AI functions in Cities Skylines, it is as efficient as it could be.
      The outermost lane is essentially treated as a dedicated turning lane while traffic can continue uninterrupted on the other lanes.

    • @sanespace1480
      @sanespace1480 Год назад +1

      @@CitiesOnConsole It's stupid in C:S as in real life.
      Better is one lane roundabout with separate right turn connection outside of roundabout. Or turbo roundabout build using mods.

    • @CitiesOnConsole
      @CitiesOnConsole  Год назад +2

      @@sanespace1480 Yeah, you are right there.
      This was geared toward vanilla gameplay with the limitations of the base game.
      I think, with the improved mechanics and lane usage in CS2, this will not be an ideal option in the new game, but it does work wonders in vanilla CS1! 😃
