I lost track, yet #2 I think the Martin? I was pleased with the over-all tone, and depth. I wasn't unhappy, in the least, with all that followed, and the rosewoods, sure are pretty. Was the first one, light-stringed? I'm old-school (in so many ways), but I tried some lights, Ernie-Ball's, on Washburn, years ago - nicer to the fingers, yet lost so much power too (it would), I switched back, to the mediums... Think, I caught a hint of _'House of the Rising Sun'_ in there, somewheres... ;-) _"that's my story, and I'm stick'en to it!"_ lol! ☮ Cheers-
Its a balance to find that power and tone but not hurt your fingers or guitar! Medium strings for the win but I'd never let them sit in the guitar for long periods without play. Just my 2 cents.
@@staleyexplores - 😬 I'd forgotten about relaxing the strings, for long periods of rest (I used to) - I'm curious to measure my action, now that you've taught me how - It seems to hold tune quite well, when I last had it out, after a very long time...
The first guitar was the Auden and it has light monel strings where as the others do have 80/20 phosphor bronze, the martin and breedlove are lights and the Yamaha has extra lights on it bc the neck was broken, although that's fixed now!
@@staleyexplores - 0.24" at the double-dots, 0.26" to the dot at the body, and about 0.28" at the end of the fret-board, where it meets the opening (6.1mm to 7.1mm) - not sure what that is, in 1000th's (depth gauge on the calipers) - looks like the head, is bowed up, a bit... concerned...
Here is Jeff's website he did an excellent job and I'd definitely recommend him for your guitar work. southsoundguitars.com/
