If the rest of the universe speeds up relative to you, that would mean hawking radiation would speed up as well. Billions of years would pass as you enter the black hole. Imagine jumping into a black hole but because of time dilation, it evaporates before you can reach the singularity.
But isn't the black hole also affected by its own gravity so the time near and in a black hole is generally much slower? And so the hawking radiation is way slower than we observe it from far away ?
yes but this would also cause the scale of the time dialation to be small, basically mean from ur perspect the universe would begin to slow down again as the area of space time u are in is less curved as the event horizon would begin to catch up with u again, you would reach the singularity at the exact same moment the blackhole eveaperates, and what happens after that well like said in the video we dont know
time is relative and heavily distorted in the presence of a blackhole. To your perspective falling into a blackhole, the entire history of the universe happens in the blink of an eye, to an outsiders perspective, they never see you actually fall in, you just get slower and slower until you are frozen and redshifted away
So, if you travel around the black hole in a gravitational assist and head back to earth, you would be travelling to the future far enough that you don't need to wait for the next season of game of thrones? Cool.
lol i dont wanna be wooshed, you need to be very fast, very fast.maybe faster than light.and a hydrogen atom would be deadly if it smashed you at that speed
Thank you for this channel’s existence. It explains cosmology and astrophysics in a clever way while actually being funny and has a knowledge of meme culture
I wish this went into a little more depth. The gravitational implosion is a pretty cool process - basically, the moment the core gets dense and hot enough to fuse iron, it does so, but fusing iron is the first element that takes more energy to fuse than it releases, causing the core to instantly freeze, and implode - the rest of the star falls inwards, and so much energy is released in this collapse that a vast explosion blows the outer layers away, while leaving behind either a neutron star, or, with too much mass, collapsing further into a black hole. Also, the red giant phase isn't a single phase, a star expands and contracts as it begins fusing heavier and heavier elements. Stars are so fucking cool. :D
Ironically, by falling into a black hole, you would have outlived anyone and anything. By getting dragged into an endless black void and dying from getting your body spaghettified, you are technically immortal to any other life form in any other planet.
I was in ventilator for 12 days, I was dying, but some how doctors brought me back to life, after that I had a wired dream's and thoughts like, this world is so small and money, love and relationship are nothing in front of universe. Sometimes I felt like I'm in a giant blackhole with no object or living thing's around.
I know it's far fetched and crazy sounding, but it would be amazing to calculate how far in time you want to do a future time travel using a black hole and still somehow live. Transfering 4000 years in the future or so.. I seriously think something like that may happen about 7000 years from now when humanity in space is a totally normal thing.
I know what you mean. I saw some comments above talking about how time would also be catching up with you while you were falling deeper into the black hole. What if falling into a black does not in fact kill you at all but essentially just transports you to the time of the black hole's death. And then if you could calculate based on the size of the black hole or how close to death it was, you could time travel to whenever you wanted.
I finally caught you make a mistake 0:30 Saggi. A* Isn’t holding everything together, it’s not that strong. The strange “Dark Matter” is what’s holding this place together, which is also the same substance that’s pushing the universe apart.

If i could choose a way to die, once become an old ass grandpa, i would like to disappear in a black hole... so, when i will die at the bottom of the pit (at the singulatity), i would know that the universe is going to die with me. Poetic, huh?
Technically if someone dies by being spaghettified by a black hole, he's essentially "deader than dead" since matter in a black hole is crushed so tight it no longer resembles conventional matter in any way at all.
But... but if black holes evaporate over time, and you're travelling THROUGH time, faster and faster as you reach the event horizon... wouldn't that mean the black hole would be gone by the time you reached it? And all other things in the universe would have come and gone. Meanwhile, you're just floating there in the fast darkness of space, where the event horizon WOULD HAVE been. It would be so dark that you couldn't tell if you were inside the black hole, or just in an empty universe. You would be the last thing to ever be, except for the other select few who did the same thing you did. Forever alone together.
"your" own time has no shit with the black hole. you would see nothing time-bending. all other world around you (that is not in teh black hole) would ofc see you go slower, then red, then dissapear, and then after some period of time all your body will be transformed into a bunch of photons with a wavelength of kilometers and sent flying into space, your consciousness will be turned into nothing. world-around-you can catch these photons and bury them.
True you would be moving faster through time, the black hole would not evaporate that quick. I think it would evaporate right before you reach the singularity.
Black holes are vanishing after some time...and time goes faster inside of a black hole...wouldnt the black hole evaporate before you would reach the singularity?
Theoretically, no. If you were to survive long enough inside the black hole, you would see it vanishing before your eyes and taking you and everything it had inside or orbiting the black hole with it. On rare occasions would you see it disappear in the singularity. Either way, you'd die for sure. I don't give a shit, this is a theory to anyone else who fucking goes against me. This is for ZeroClawStudios
ZeroClawStudios An interesting proposition, but think of it this way. Your mass becomes part of the black hole, so your mass is subtracted from as part of the black hole's Hawking radiation.
I've had a morbid thought about this, leading to a hypothesis: if you could survive the spagettification part, you would see the black hole get brighter and brighter until it radiated its mass as pure energy right into your face. I've also had this hypothesis that black holes radiate hawking radiation at a specific frequency, but the reasoning is iffy at best and can't be as yet observed.
When I was a small child, I was always afraid on numbers and countdowns. I am still afraid of things ending, especially bad memories tied with good memories of nostalgia in my past. Yes. It's confusing. Whatever... I just wanted to say I freaked when it said "you died", and I almost had a panic attack when the windows logout sound was produced. Idk why... don't judge. Probably childhood trauma or some shit...that has to do with things ending.
A little fun fact for you to think on; If you jumped into a black hole, you would (in just a few hours) experience the death of all humans, the dissipation of the Sun and the destruction of planet Earth, and as you get closer to the singularity (assuming you don't die yet), you will be the last living human left ever, watching the entire universe die with you into a meaningless end of all information and consciousness
So, as you go into a black hole, time speeds up drastically. Maybe, you cannot see a black hole as time has gone by so fast within it, you see the endgame of the universe, which is nothingness. Like a giant mirror that reflects the future. Most likely not the case, just a stupid observation.
Is there a theory that when you reach the Singularity, you get ejected back out as sub atomic particles or maybe even unscathed? Through maybe a Worm Hole?
Holy shit, I have to convince out teacher to play these for us. This is really well explained, educational and with DANK MEMES !!!! What more yould you ask for ? *subbed*

FildasKirk black hole has transfinite (maybe INFINITE) G's and Chuck Norris is JUST A SMACK DOWNER so stop overestimating him cuz we are all serious here, this is not 300 G or Googol G, this is TRANSFINITE (maybe INFINITE) G
Since a black holes create a singlarity in space and time, just like how our universe started. Could we theoretically assume that all this matter the black hole consumes would be converted into pure energy. Then expand into another universe beyond our reach, recreating another big bang of a universe with different laws of physics.
Just a small point about Hawking radiation, we don't actually know what it is and apparently it doesn't necessarily happen at the "edge" of the event horizon, but could happen even light years away. Most likely it has more to do with gravity and space-time than spontaneous particles.
Thank you. Im able to understand your explanations. Pretty much mosy of my curiosity about black holes has been cleared compared to by other videos. Keep it up!
I've just watched this video expecting to see escape instructions as i used to be a cameraman fallen into a Black Hole for higher ratings. Well, at least it seems like i finally got my deserved eternal holidays.
1st law of thermodynamics states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, energy can only be transferred or changed from one form to another. so when you die your energy is shifted into some other shit. so you don't essentially die you just become something else. on the other hand, your consciousness ceases to exist so you will no longer experience anything. hope that helped you existential dread ahahhaahahah
1. you won't survive for very long. assuming you do, 2. you can't escape ever assuming you somehow do, 3. everything is gone. No stars, no planets, nothing.
6:25 It's not true that billions of years will pass for the earth, while only seconds pass for you when you're at the event horizon. To simplify all of this, time in physics is the measurement of how fast we receive light. That's why an object that accelerates appears to slow down in time, it's because that objects light takes longer to reach the observer every instant the object is accelerating. Gravity works the same way on light, the heavier the gravitational pull, the slower light gets to the observer, but that does not mean that that object is truly moving slower. A human near a black hole will still die around the same period a human on earth would die if they were both born at the same day (considering they die from old age of course). So in the end it only appears to the observer that the object they're observing moves slower through time. If you would define time by rate of change for example, then time is not relative, time in physics, which is reliant on light, is relative.
I first found this channel from this video, thinking it was a clickbait but for my own humor I clicked on it anyways, thought I would regret it but no this channel is so underrated I support sciencephile to be president
I don't attempt to insult anyone personally, but humanity's retardedness level reached to a state in which they start to fear zombies and black hole deaths etc, scenarios that have the smallest probability to happen and probably won't ever happen to anyone of us at all. For example, the sun is also very very hot. But is anyone of you afraid being burned by the sun? I mean, one time in the far far future when most of us will die anyway, the sun will grow and eat the earth like pacman, nomnom. But you are more afraid by black holes being thousands of light years far away from us? Damn it. There probably never was any person dying by a real black hole (except maybe some men but with the "black holes" in a SLIGHTLY different meaning). However, I really hope you get why I mean. Mankind has created own irrational fears.
in the last moments of you and your universe, you will reach singularity and non one knows what happens after that." Such romanticism in the sterile nature of Ai, it is brilliant.
@@bloomingreyna but if it was infinitely big, then you would never reach the singularity, which i assume is the actual portal But you could die of hunger and thirst
1- Wait, so if time stops, that means while we are still falling inside event horizon we will go past 10^11 years and beyond for sure, which is the black holes lifespan... so we will be out? 2- since there is no time passing, how can it decrease over time and disappear? 3- if someone tries to touch our "frozen image" he will see the continuage of our frozen image right? 4- For everything there is a reason, it was our decision to go inside a black hole but the blackhole itself wants us to reach event horizon, it pulls us which means there is a reason behind it. what does it desire?

Chuck Norris does not die inside a black hole. Black hole dies inside Chuck Norris
OMG, someone has googolplex of issues and cannot understand humor.
FildasKirk this needs to be pinned
FildasKirk light tries to escape a black hole the same way a black holes tries to escape chuck Norris.
FildasKirk Chuck Norris makes onions cry.
Since a black holes create a singlarity in space and time, just like how our universe started. Could we theoretically assume that all this matter the black hole consumes would be converted into pure energy. Then expand into another universe beyond our reach, recreating another big bang of a universe with different laws of physics.
no.
ofc black holes can eat mass, energy, etc. but they eventually give it back due to radiation. back to us, in our universe. you understand?
Interesting point
Lets go into a black hole

Uranus will become black then.

chakra uranus will fall into the blackhole
Just a small point about Hawking radiation, we don't actually know what it is and apparently it doesn't necessarily happen at the "edge" of the event horizon, but could happen even light years away. Most likely it has more to do with gravity and space-time than spontaneous particles.
Thank you. Im able to understand your explanations. Pretty much mosy of my curiosity about black holes has been cleared compared to by other videos.
Keep it up!
This is the funniest, best and most amazing channel EVER😍
I've just watched this video expecting to see escape instructions as i used to be a cameraman fallen into a Black Hole for higher ratings.
Well, at least it seems like i finally got my deserved eternal holidays.
I really love your way of describing things , you make science something fun
Theoretically, in the next 5000 years, there will be technology that can go into a black hole and inter dimensionally travel.
Dave's awesome videos I would be happy if humans survived another 500 years.
just like rick tho

So If we die inside a black we will witness the universe dying since we'll past billion of years during the spagghetification (6:23)?
Exactly
The concept of living billions of years in seconds is incredible
If it's supermasive
Yah windows XP Intro
I don't want to die
don't worry, when we all die we all go to Heavem
Unless Gods heaven is peacefullness then probably singularity is God
Theory? Yes... Definitely
Too bad.
we all die, deal with it.
Sorry Charlie!
I am honestly terrified whilst being fascinated
Such a great video🤯
Is staying in the event horizon and getting back out of it a type of time travel?
Yes. One where you can never go back and your life is ruined because everything is dead :D
1. you won't survive for very long.
assuming you do,
2. you can't escape ever
assuming you somehow do,
3. everything is gone. No stars, no planets, nothing.

Your videos are amazing! They are really informative, while also being entertaining!
Give us more of this!
I just discovered your channel and it's amassing! Keep up the good work

why do I get panic attacks from this?
You must have some sort of anxiety
Franky Frankson I feel u too
Franky Frankson because black holes are coming to kill us in the most fucked up weird psychological traumatizing way possible.

It's just a collection of mass so big that nothing can escape it. There's something there but we can't see it

Immense respect for putting the music name in the description. Bravo!
` McSkillet this comment deserves more attention
For 1: I had the same thought.
For 2: Time should still pass, but at a very/extremely slow rate.

What a coincendence; Steven Hawking discovered HAWKING radiation! ^.*
Bailey Day Yes so weird
MaximalGamingNL how is it weird tho? They named it after him
Another coincidence: Einstein discovered Einstein's theory of relativity! Also, Shakespeare's plays were written by William Shakespeare! (Though some people believe that it's not the case - they were actually written by a completely different person of the same name.)
Weird coincidence, must be the work of Jesus
