The PSone is 100 times better just for obvious reasons first of all you don't have to worry too much about the laser, the grey was a nightmare in terms of laser it was cheap and the internal power supply died very often.
@@GTAManRCR I had the PS1 1001, that one is a nightmare then I changed it for the PS1 9xxx that one was ok but the internal power supply died then I moved to the PSone and I had 0 issues, that's the very best on my opinion.
@@saibot20194yeah i had a simular problem, first i had a 9xxx, it just plane wouldn’t read discs i asume it’s because the laser died or something, then i bought a 75xx, it would read discs but randomly would freeze in the middle of playing games. So then i recently bought a psone, no problems with it at all all games play fine on it
Really random question, is the graphics worse on the PlayStation one compared to the PlayStation classic by any chance? Cuz my game seems a little different than what I see on RUclips
@@Breezyfit thats because everyone on youtube lies and does videos using emulators , running the game at 1080p+ , with anti aliasing , geomotry stabilisation hacks, texture filtering etc. Theres tons of videos with over amillion views talking about old consoles and the majority of them do not use actual footage from real hardware. I usually comment and complain about it, but get swamped by fanboys saying im lying or that it doesnt matter. I say to them yes it does matter as it tricks people and then when they buy the real hardware it looks nothing like they expected. Plus it also dilutes the jump in graphics that was made between generations. If youre running 5th gen stuff at 1080p with anti aliasing etc it looks closer to dreamcast og hardware than actual 5th gen og hardware. So when people look back, it looks like there was not much improvmeent between generations. When in reality the jumps in gfx were absolutely giant.
you really have to go for the original. the smaller ONE would be great to fit in a car for a gaming on the move. But best of all would be the PS2 slim, as it does all.
So they rearranged the PCB, put the PSU in a separate brick, and then attached the ports to the main board? I was hoping for some big chip that did most of it, covered in a big epoxy blob.
I still prefer the older one despite it looking less streamlined and being larger. Just the one I remember when it was the latest thing.

What model did you have? No problem with SCPH-7xxx or SCPH-9xxx as Sony updated the laser in SCPH-7xxx so laser's better

Psone looks like a cd player that was designed by fisher price
@@slapshotjack9806 It does the job, so no complaints by me so far!

they should be the same
@@R_T_Ralph gotchu, it seems like very grainy compared to what I see on RUclips (resident evil 2) and I can’t really make out anything

I'm quite tempted to get a PSone. Any idea whether there are any major differences, such as video or sound quality?
im certain they are the same, just more compact
Get the psOne don't make the mistake of buying the grey one, they're identical in graphics in audio there's not much difference.
I wish I still had a working PS1 for nostalgia, but mines has a broken disc drive, and I play my PS1 games on PS2
Have you been fighting a cat ?
I have a skin condition that comes and goes
Homie did you really say it doesn’t work while it wasn’t plugged into the wall….please elaborate
I already tested it, and the psu didnt work.
Im trying to make the decision right now which one to get.
You could have literally just said “no” instead of dragging out this long Top 5
So if you were to get the Playstation that is better, would you get the Playstation or the PSone. I just want to know which is better

i assumed they just ripped out the PSU and re-sold us what we already had.
you could call it a “1 v one”
get it
I like the original PlayStation the very first PlayStation 1 I'm not a fan of the shape of the PSone
