Great content. Everyone please listen to this important message. God’s Son Jesus Christ is coming back very very soon from Heaven to take home all that have asked Jesus to come in your heart and save you. The Bible says we need to Repent of our Sins and ask Jesus Christ to come in our Heart and save us. Please watch 23 minutes in Hell on RUclips. It’s very very important. Blessings & Love. Robert. Also read the book of Revelation in the Bible. It explains what is going to happen very soon.
I almost died at "trigawrongetry" You guys are so fun. Even though you have no idea who I am, if feels like we're friends. That's a strong recipe for success.
Thanks… Both are healing up well and have come by to hang out on the job with us. We can’t let it go to Jasons head how important he is for a few weeks here ;)
I was kind of surprised they did a butt joint rather than a miter. That stuff is probably so stable it does not move much. Wish they had commented on it.
big tip from a pre hang door shop manager, always remove a hinge screw from at least the top hinge and replace with a 3 1/2" deck screw. it will stop the door from sagging. especially on double doors!
I’m a full time paramedic and a part time/small time farmer now and do my own construction for myself for enjoyment … but grew up a Mason’s tender and have dabbled in other disciplines as well… I’m certainly NOT a pro like these guys … just an amateur. But if I still lived in Cullowhee, I’d TOTALLY drop an application in their box! These guys would be GREAT to learn from and work for. When you enjoy your work … it’s not work! It’s fun! You guys rock and are, BY FAR, my favorite subscription on RUclips.
I'm in awe of Jamie's adaptation to his injury. He's one reason I went back into woodworking and started my new RUclips channel. I mention him in the first video. Thanks for being an inspiration to others of us with limitations.
Nicest pallet I've ever seen, I wish more were like that so I could recycle/use the wood more. As it is I still try to as much as I can. Really great to see you do that, even if it was because of circumstances and not always the norm. 😁
Can't get enough of this channel. You guys rock.. Arlo is so good that he set the saw depth and it didn't even hit the house wrap behind it ! I hope he's paid well 😁
All you guys are great carpenters, all the products keeping up with all new materials and applications love all your videos I learn more from the crew then my own foreman!! I strive to have a crew like this!! Good vibes and positivity!
You guys should do a limited edition shirt print for each project because the logo illustrations are awesome! Ps you need to go watch Kyle from @rrbuilding weave his magic with metal trim, the way he makes those cuts to wrap corners and overlap almost invisibly is amazing. Jamie would be so happy and in his element watching him demonstrate and explain his process.
Pro plumber tip for framers. Look closely @15:02. See how there's no stud on center of the waste and overflow hole? Now I can easily mount my shower valve too. 👍
Thanks for the comment and pro tip Ray… don’t center a stud on the tub drain, instead leave a centered space between studs for the plumber to mount the mixing valve 👍👍
As an X-ray tech I can confirm his description of the total hip replacement process. Though the blade is slightly different and connected to a stainless steel saw.
I've been a builder for many years and have seen quite a fair bit of sheds. The plans in ryan's package ruclips.net/user/postUgkxB7IXYxLzb_Ichhe45zM3Im5xfEiSp9vB have some of the nicest looking sheds i've seen in a while.
Absolutely love your videos. As a hobby builder they give me great inspiration. I just finished the framing and outside of my little 11' x 14' wotkshop. Cant wait to se what you guys do for the inside walls and ceiling! Cheers from Sweden!
I notice you have a hem bend on your flashing. When you are making the trim on your break you should score off however long your overlap will be. That way it will sit tighter and not allow water to blow back in.
Hey Jamie, when you are overlapping flashing like that you should cut the folded edge that will be inside the other one off so you are only sliding one layer in and also slice the bottom off a bit so it will sit flush. Hard to describe it. Hope that made sense.
You guys rock! Thinking out of the box all the time. I just wished my carpenters have the same initiatives to think like you guys. It will just made jobs easier and more fun.
They do use a saw to cut the old hip out but how do they get the ball out of the socket after it's cut? They use a cork screw and just yank it out. Makes a very loud pop when it goes free.
Love seeing the attention to detail, great work. Hate seeing recessed can lights used in the ceilings. Much better to use standard electrical boxes and flush LED lights, less air leakage and better energy efficiency for about same cost.
Here’s the link to the LED lights - noralighting.com/product/nlopac-r6509/. Wonderful product that mounts to standard electrical box and very affordable.
Arlo, remember the orthopedic surgeon is just highly paid, overeducated carpenter who works with really expensive materials. Good luck, I've had mine for nearly 20 years and it's still good as new.
We usually pull one of the screws in the hinge and replace with a deck screw or construction screw to hold the hinge rather than the just the small manufacturer screws to hold a door with that much glass, which weights a great deal on those little screws. This also saves pulling the weather strip to make a hiding place for screw heads.
Do you need to cut a groove on the bottom of the drip edge so water drips off instead of following the drip edge to the wall. Great job on building the house.
That last 2x4 on the stair wall you should have run vertical all the way up. You had 2 studs there. Just run the last one all the way thru. It would add more strength. Tip of the day.. otherwise good work

Good morning guys
Here's to a speedy recovery, Arlo!
Jason needs a raise haha, absolute legend
I was just thinking, I have never installed an exterior door before the siding, but you explained it later in the video LOL.
Band boards look great! I was skeptical on seeing the unfinished product being made, but it makes much more sense actually on the house.
I was kind of surprised they did a butt joint rather than a miter. That stuff is probably so stable it does not move much. Wish they had commented on it.
Hey thanks

it is way more labour intensive but that open wall in the stairwell it reallyyyy nice
Thanks I think it’s a lot nicer as well..
@3:37, Jason channeling Goose!!! "WE" "....Sorry Goose, We..."
We are def gonna be needing that link to see the last side of siding go up there Boss.
Man I've never seen a freaking palet like this one. Like a dream. And Jason doesn't looks like he's bought any lumber in the last couple of weeks. .
I wish you all the best, especially Arlo for a speedy recovery!

Really great to see you do that, even if it was because of circumstances and not always the norm. 😁
Yeah saving money is the name of the game $300 big saving and Jamie crying about working if my boss told me to do something
Those stairs are awesome. I love the open look.
more Perkins!
Recycling the palate makes total sense me!!!
That open wall on the stairwell looks really good can’t wait to see it all finished
I would have re-used that wood too!

I really like the look of that LP siding. Might even eventually go for that on my own house. I like that it actually looks like real wood
Good luck , Arlo. You'll be setting off metal detectors everywhere. I have set off a few of them in my day, too.
Go, Go, Arlo! Sending good vibes your way.
Solid show by Jason. He was on point in this one.
Good day❤❤❤
My Aunt had both hips done. She said she ws really glad she didn't wait anymore. Be kind to one another. Stay safe. Love to all
Great work savaging the 2x4’s! That was a no brainer! Where was Ray-Ray?
Wow, the place is really standing tall!
All the best to Arlo!
Yes, I have both hips replaced. Very painful for a while. Then no pain. Awesome
That’s what Arlo said about his first hip… He said it was night and day difference afterwards

Wohoo! Great start of my day :)
Great job coming on nicely UK.
These videos brighten my day. I wish y’all did MEP stuff too since I’m an MEP engineer but I find this just as interesting. Keep up the great work!
Hope it all goes well arlo, I’m 7 weeks post full hip replacement myself, back on the tools this weekend 🔨 😎🇺🇸🏴
Another great one!
We're just about to these steps on our new house. Great episode.
And I love that you reused the pallet studs! Strong work, guys :)

Hey great suggestion! Thanks… and I do actually watch some of Kyle’s videos. He is sick with metalwork and does a lot of it
What happened to the memberships? It says I am no longer a member and there’s no option to become one
Maybe some short videos of Arlo wisdom ‘nuggets’ while he’s recovering. Heal fast Arlo!

that palette reusing thing was a great idea! nice one Erik

We call it esthetic mock beam beautiful job guys well done please be safe God bless
Thanks Anthony! Likewise
Walls for the shower are stronger than the load bearing walls, amazing.
Great stuff

looking good

I’m sure Arlo asked to check out his tools 🛠
Most orthopods were kids that loved Meccano - you should see our AO/ASIF kits.
He’s not over educated when you need him to cut on you
Ahhhh. I needed a video today, how did y'all know lmao
Good luck Arlo! I had both of mine replaced in last two years. Slows you down for a little bit but you will be back at before you know it.
Amazing as always!

Is the keeps only an America thing? Tried filling it out and there's nothing for Canada
Do you need to cut a groove on the bottom of the drip edge so water drips off instead of following the drip edge to the wall. Great job on building the house.
Always a good day when the Perkins upload
flashing pros...that's the way
So much great content in all the vids and absolute delight to rewatch them tooo ... fantastic
it looks so good. Do you keep track on how many man hours you put into each house?
4:45 ur doing it wrong, ur supposed to cut away the small end on the one ur overlapping on so it slides in and makes a even tighter and cleaner fit
Look forward to your Videos
Thanks Jim

Was there no way to make the door trim line up with the window trim? Looks pretty weird now.
Good luck Arlo
What is the logo that is on Jason and Johno's shirt?
Great Work!
Jason, I listened to the play back… I didn’t here we on the flashing.
I think Jaime was pretty confident that Jason wasn’t going to check the playback :-)

Buenisimo 🔨gracias por compartir los detalles de armado 🤗😘
I built a scaffold plank or if the siding pallet. Forked it on my skid steer. Worked great. To reach gable ends and lift materials to roof.
On the cuts of the band board is that squeeze bottle just full of paint for the cut edges?
you guys need to start doing razor lights instead of can lights. they are only 1/2” thick so you can put them on framing or anywhere you have at least drywall plus i think they look so much better
Pretty sure there choices are dictated by the customer that hires them. Customer wants can lights, you put in can lights.
The super slope cans are more beneficial for steep pitched roofs to allow for the light to emit straight down vs angled away from the walking areas
