hai ava! tips for refreshing flowers: put a bit of ice in the water, flowers like cooler water especially roses :) cutting an inch or so from the bottom of the stem also helps. if the flowers ever come with the powder or food for the flowers, I like to save some of it, that way when it's time to put new water I sprinkle in the flower food that I saved. I love how the apartment/ vlogs have been coming along, you are so inspiring

another great cleaning tip is “15 minute pickup”, you set a timer for 15 mins and get as much as you can done.
it’s always amazing how much you can get done and usually want to finish everything up by the time the timer has gone off!
If you plan out your laundry/ drier to put less loads with more content in them you will save money on the energy bill. Same with the dishwasher, you should make in fuller before turning it on or you will have a hefty water bill (I understand that you are only one person, but make it as full as you can with the things you have).
Also, it is better for the environment. And she should use more reusable cleaning items! It is better for your wallet and our beautiful planet!!

decor tip: for the wall area above your dresser in your bedroom, instead of a mirror you could put a painting by maybe Monet above it instead. What you could do with the painting is make it big and split it on to three canvases, making it look like three different paintings when it's actually just one whole painting but just one three canvases! :)

Hey! Just an idea for the living room - put the mirror back where it was near the window, move the bookshelf more to the right & put the little ottoman/ chair you got from target for your bedroom next to the bookshelf on the left with the lamp in the left hand corner nearest your fridge! It’ll create a perfect little reading nook. I hope that makes sense 🤣 your apartment is looking so beautiful!

I was literally thinking this!! But I would go a little crazy with the bookshelf and rotate it 90 degrees, so the books and their spines would be visible to the one in the chair/ottoman and the side of the bookshelf would be displaued
For cleaning an apartment, I recommend using microfiber rags and an all purpose cleaner instead of disposable wipes. This saves money and produces less waste! Try to use clean natural cleaners and reusable cleaning supplies. Love this video :)

This may sound crazy but on Etsy people sell hanging planters made out of disco balls and I think it would go GREAT In your space!! Also a record player with some vinyls!!
decor tip (if it’s accessible in Hawaii): I highly suggest you to go in thrift stores to find cute decorations!! My appartement has never been more unique since I’ve found vintage posters, books and paintings! Thanks for bringing me comfort when u upload a vlog 💓

Tip for those who feel they get distracted when cleaning : time yourself. This has helped a lot! Give yourself a realistic time “20 min to clean the bathroom” set a timer and it helps keep you on track.

I know you're big on sustainability so I wanted to offer my fav cleaning alternatives to paper towels: washrags/rags, microfiber towels, and (my personal fav for cleaning mirrors) an old cotton t-shirt! Hope you had a good reset day today :)

friendly tip ; for your flowers to stay longer cut the roots diagonally when they aren't fresh anymore (I would say ever2-3 days?) so they can drink up more water :)

Decor tip: you should put a fake fig tree by the side of your desk. This may not completely be your style but you should wrap led lights around the back of your floor mirror, it makes such a mode( I love having mine an orange color it almost looks like a sunset light). I definitely think you should put prints above your dresser, with a dowel and twine/rope so it’s hanging(if that makes any sense). Love your apartment and videos!!💕

Make sure you recut the ends of your flowers when you change the water! And make sure no leaves are in the water so the flowers don’t waste their energy feeding the leaves!!!

i highly recommend going to a second hand or thrift store to find decor, especially vases, glasses, bowls, art, and other trinkets. It's a great way to save money and shop more sustainably!

Yees the thing about the mirror facing the bed, here in Ecuador they always say that you shouldn't put a mirror in front of your bed, because at night while you're sleeping your spirit will leave your body and get trapped inside the mirror (?) or it will get scared and go away because of the reflection of your body in the mirror , something like that, lol. Sorry for my english, I speak spanish so I tried my best with this coment. Anyways, I love your videos and I'm so proud of all the goals you're achiving, you're such an inspiration for me. I used to work at a smoothie shop and our best green smoothie recipe was passion fruit, pineapple, mango, banana, coconut water, leafy greens, and a teeny bit of stevia sweetener. I liked to put a little lemon in mine too, so good

🎂As I watch, I'll throw in some tips! -You can get these little padded sticky circles for your kitchen chair and table feet. They make moving your chairs around quieter and they won't scratch the tiling. -Props on the blue sponge! The green and yellow ones are abrasive and will make fine scratches on *everything*. -I recommend a squeegee for your shower tiles. Squeegeeing it down after you shower will help keep soap residue from building up and will make a deep clean easier. -I would also use gloves to clean with. Some chemicals can react with each other and cause burns, others can cause permanent sensitivities. -When changing the water out in flowers, cut the stems down about an inch at an angle, they'll drink up the fresh water better.🍰
Laundry tip:
To use less electricity and water make sure you make full loads of laundry! Each load should be the same color scheme so the colors don’t mix… like bright linen with bright clothes instead of linen and clothes in separate loads..

I really like your videos, you are awesome. Just wanted to remind you that it is not productive to label your video as *being your own housewife*. Being a housewife is completely fine, but the way you labeled it, just reproduces stereotypes, which makes it much harder for women to fight them. Housework should not only be done by "wifes". Run first the laundry before you clean so the time for the laundry is lessen while you are cleaning, i do my clothes laundry 2x a week so its a less than once a week. Like 2x a week general cleaning 😉 Always clean your utensils after you eat. As you don’t leave anything messy and have little friends. Also change your dishwashing cleaner sponge atleast once a week because it can accumulate bacteria.

Use micro fiber cloths to clen its so much easier!! U can keep one in the sink next to your sponge and clean the counters a otherd to even clean the mirrors, dust and the bathroom

Just some tips I've learned is you can use reusable microfiber cloths to cleaning with sprays and stuff so you don't have to use so many paper towels and things. Also vacuum before you mop and maybe get a scrub brush for the shower👍♥
Cleaning in silence is actually a mindfulness practice for me- I try to focus my attention on cleaning in the moment. It's like cleaning my brain too 😌

growing up my parents would usually cook the meals and leave all of the cleaning in the kitchen for me and my siblings, it sucked at the time but now that i moved out i am so grateful because cleaning my kitchen is just instinctual and even therapeutic for me now

Hey Ava! Kitchen tip! If you want it to feel cleaner and less cluttered, try putting your pots and pans in a cabinet instead of leaving them out on the stove! Also, try tucking those drying mats in a cabinet or under the sink! You’ll feel like your kitchen is less dirty every time you cook!

For the flowers...if you recut the bottoms when they start to droop and change the water often they last longer. You can use the flower powder stuff...or an aspirin or b12 (like drop a b12 tab in) in the water too.
