"Onésime having discovered in a newspaper that the Academy of Fine Arts was opening a modern dance competition " Cake-Walk , Liquette Tango and especially the famous Bear step " decided to win this prize amounting to the fabulous sum of 12 Francs .
But to put all the chances on his side, Onésime decides to look for his teacher in the mountains, and it is in the Pyrenees that he finds him in the form of a bear that he captures with the bait of a can of lobster that this naturally greedy animal had not yet tasted and on which he rushes.
The lessons begin and continue with as much goodwill on both sides, although interspersed with a few incidents during which the dishes suffer some damage as well as the furniture and many other things too, but the result obtained is so satisfactory that Onésime wins the first prize.
Ungrateful like all men, Onésime in the midst of his triumph abandons his old friend and teacher so much that the latter feels a great deal of disgust and sorrow which he tries to drown in drunkenness.
Drink made him a rebel and a bitter man and when he had taken his revenge he returned to his mountain. Onésime nevertheless knew one more dance in which perhaps one day we will see him exercise his grace."
