Nice! I picked up an MN 82 and the full metal upgrade kit. Can hardly wait to start my build. So many projects! This was a fun video, I liked it and subscribed.
Nice video, but you have to remember that mn82 is not a rock crawler, but only a trail truck. Even after modifications, it won't be great on rocks. But yam, where the real lC79 would go, it will also go there. In addition, it will easily transport 1kg of cargo, where WPL will lose all suspension. Check how the Mn82 performs in the environment for which it was created - carrying loads on dirt roads, meadows, deserts and fields - under the load that the leafs love in the back of the pickup
You've made all interesting points where I agree mostly. This was, in fact, a trail that had points of varying difficulty, not an obstacle course primarily focused on rock crawling. So based on this, I tasked myself with the job of determining the limitations of my built Landcruiser vs a "stock" Hilux, more tuned to off-roading. I believe they are both trail trucks. However, there are varying levels of trail trucks. Ie, level 1 being light duty(dirt roads/light mud trails/all terrain tires/stock power), to level 3(long travel suspension/sticky compound aggressive tread tires/portal axles/big power). A more dedicated crawler goes far beyond this, where they might have roll cages, very big tires, modified chasis, single seater, etc... So I think the MN82 can still carry load in the bed. The difference now is its performance has been significantly improved to where that isn't its only ability.
Beautiful scenery!! Watching them come down that hill was pretty cool. Keep it up✌🏽
