- This video is the embodiment of procrastination at it's finest.
I recorded the voice lines for this on APRIL 27TH and now it is being uploaded on JUNE 12TH.
My bad for taking so long on a video that isn't even over 10 minutes, but this is a topic that I really wanted to cover. I have a huge appreciation for this level, and I am eager to see what's next for this project. Big shoutout to everyone that has a part in this level!

Hey thanks so much for this video! It's difficult to put into words just how personal this level is to all of us. Every room, no matter how different, is connected by one thread: they're all supposed to convey a vibe, or a feeling. For a lot of us, we inevitably chose nostalgia, hence Iris' laser tag room, my infomercial room, and even Halzion's 2.0 room. Each room has a unique story that means something different to everyone, and I hope that at least one of these rooms really resonate with you and everyone else. I can't wait to see people's reactions to the full level when it's out!
Looking forward to the final product! I hope DON gets the full recognition it rightfully deserves. Great work ❤️
How close is it to being finished?
Love the video! So many of the rooms in DON have stories behind them that make them special to each creator. It's difficult to really overstate just how much of each creator is in their own part and I think that's what makes DON special. I hope you'll enjoy the full level when it releases!

I think the reason why I like this level so much is because it's literally 100+ rooms of all the creators' random ideas and just has no general standard when it comes to theme
Im a big fan of levels that give a ton of creative freedom

Me and my friend went through roughly 40 top 1s and rated them out of 10 and averaged the scores. DON easily got the highest score and it wasn’t even close, even though we were very strict with the rating system towards it given it was one of the only platformers. The only reason my friend didn’t give it a perfect score (he gave it a 9.5, I gave it a 10) was because of how many robot parts there where, but we both agreed it was the most exciting top 1 to come out in a longgg time.

don is the only level i have been legitimately been hyped for in literal years and im glad to see people sharing my excitement for it.
i think a key part of the level's identity that you missed is it being sort of a love letter to i wanna be the guy fangames (the 2007 troll game, not the gd level). i never played that game or the fangames myself, but from the little i know about that scene, it is clear that many of the creators attempted for don to almost feel like a fangame. this is also why you might see a lot of robot in the level, as the controls in iwbtg are similar to those of the robot, but with a double jump (indeed, the double jump is a common thread tying every room in don together).
as a small side note, i feel like the hatred/distaste many players have for the "overuse" of robot in platformer extremes is misplaced. not only is robot the gamemode that is the most similar to the controls in other popular platformer games, it's also just the gamemode that feels the smoothest and most intuitive to play. it's only natural that creators gravitate to it (not to mention that plenty of non-robot hard levels exist and some of them are executed incredibly well, such as storm front).
W video. my fav part so far is magpipes which is the synthwave robot part with the bright "metal" blocks
I have been playing gd since 1.6, and have played levels like "revolution", and "how", along with other amazing levels. I think it is safe to say that i have never seen something as clever, abstract, and beautiful as the absolute masterpiece that is Nikrodox's part. It's such a well executed aesthetic and groove, and there is such meticulous attention to detail that it has easily become my favorite megacollab part of all time.
DON is one of my new favorite levels just because of the news station part

Literally the best collab ive ever seen ever since i started playing GD. This actually has to be my favorite level of all time. Its so unique and cool that i dont even know what part to point out. The vibes of this level are just out of this world dude. Its like the entire internet put inside of one level. This is competition for LIMBO and EOD for the best Extreme Demon in the game, matter of fact it aint even close. Its like if you took the eternity of Yume Nikki into a level and then chopped it up like an amen break. Abslolute 10/10 level.

As someone who has beaten how to platformer, this level is top 20
I really hope save and quit comes out before this level. checkpoint based platformer extreme demons (almost all of them right now) are really hard to enjoy because you're limited to a single session and when you have to stop playing the game you just feel really frustrated, and it's not the same kind of feeling from getting a high percentage on classic levels. Having the ability to play the level throughout multiple days would make levels like DON a lot more enjoyable because right now platformer kind of sucks for extreme demons in my opinion

probably second longest rated platformer lol, it's not beating how to platformer
while how to platformer might have “2000 rooms” a grand majority of those rooms take like 8-10 seconds to clear. each don room will be fully fleshed out gameplay and could very well give you a challenge. while it might not be longest by room count, it will be by far the longest based on time played
