    I think I saw a post somewhere that an FFG employee clarified that even though bounty is treated as having when defeated text it is not considered a when defeated ability. I think that was to clarify for the new thrawn leader and the new chimera unit.

      Hey! Great point!
      That's true. He stated that Bounties do work as When Defeated/When Captured abilities (so in our case, nothing changes - at least per current rules) but do not count as actual "When Defeated" abilities as far as GA Thrawn is concerned.

    Hi thank you for the great videos! I was researching these timing questions. I have a slightly different scenario, could I ask for your help?
    The opponent has a Crafty Smuggler in play
    I play P38 with Dooku's exploit ability, exploiting Greedo.
    If I am understanding how to apply your video to this scenaro, the next available window for both the "when defeated" of Greedo and "when played" of P38 would be at the same time and thus the active player can choose the order. So thus this could allow me to ping the shield with P38's when played and then try to hit with Greedo's when defeated to defeat the Craft Smuggler if it is successful. (or trigger them in the other order if the cause arises)

      You are correct! According to 7.5.16.D. "Abilities that trigger while defeating units using exploit (e.g. “When Defeated” abilities) resolve only after the “Play a Card” action has finished resolving, at the same time that a unit’s “When Played” abilities resolve". So you do get to decide the order in which they resolve.

      Hey, thanks for watching! Indeed it is, as far as deciding the order abilities are resolved is concerned!
      The main question people have been asking though is if the card with exploit is in play when the abilities of the defeated units get to resolve.
