I actually think this is a strong contender for best hulk statue out there. Love the comic book style. Also XM need to start commissioning you for their product photography. looks miles better than their official photos.
Yep, Red Hulk was kind of overshadowing everything around him in my display. Didn't think anything was going to be able to match it's presence. This big boy is definitely a contender!
Great and thorough review as usual DT. So many display options to choose from with this statue. Which one are you going with? What do you do with the spare parts? Do you store them back in the box, or have a separate container, or just leave them loose on the shelf they are being displayed on?
I’ve got him set up right now with the helmet, clean sword and axe. I might swap out for the King Hulk at some point for a change. Wish the axe was a bit lower for this option, as I do like the hair and shiny armor. I have a special storage for all the parts. I will make a video on that to give folks some ideas.
I haven't gotten into Omnis. I do have the 1st ASM one and to remember it being pretty pricey. Then I discovered digital. Do you collect the original comics too?
@@DTsGEEKSHOW I collected the whole 93 run of death and return of Superman then got back into it on and off in 30s. Now in 40s I've probably purchased more single issues than rest of life. I also collect some CGC. I only in last 2 years got into Omnibus. I know trades are available but something simple about just getting one big hardcover.
This guys is much bigger than Hulk Transformation. I think they are the best in each of their categories. HT is has a much more "achievable" physique, which fits a bit better with the classic Banner to Hulk story it's trying to tell. This one is just a monster with super unrealistic muscle size and proportions. Love em both!
@@DTsGEEKSHOW I love my HT. At the time I only have a few Sideshow PFs and I thought the price for HT was crazy for a statue. Once it sold out I realised it was my definitive Hulk statue so paid twice retail to get it. 🤦🏼♂️ I'd love 2019 prices back. 😂
@@supermankelly HT was the piece that got me to give XM a shot. I too was focused on Sideshow and knew going outside the country was going to get expensive. Got a bunch of XM pieces while waiting for HT to finally ship. Now they occupy the majority of my collection. And yes, I was right to worry about the cost. 😁

SS is definitely more realistic when it comes to muscular anatomy. But this is the Hulk we are talking about. You need to take the most roided out Olympia competitor and bump him up another 10 notches! 😁
Kind of sucks you can only display one version of Hulk and the other one will just sit in the box. What was the shipping from your guy if it wasn’t $1k?
You can always buy 2! I keep all the switch outs handy and don’t put them back in the box. The boxes are too much of a pain to open and retrieve anything. If it goes back in the box, it goes in for good and never sees the light of day. Shipping was about half that amount. So finding the right seller is very important.
I couldn’t decided between this one or Sideshow’s. I ended up getting Sideshows. This one looks really nice. It looks like it’s a traditional sculpt which the did a good job. Thanks for sharing!
I think both are great. I had the SS but had to return it due to many QC issues on mine. If I kept it, I probably wouldn’t have gotten this one. Love the massiveness of this one.
This is an awesome Hulk. Lots of cool switch outs. I still favor the SS Gladiator Hulk for the powerful pose crushing the head of the tentacle beast. Plus I like the exclusive screaming portrait on SS.
Unfortunately the SS Hulk is poorly made. Check out Vince Vell's video where he repairs one - the polystone/resin on the hulk's leg load is extremely thin. There even are tiny holes in the statue where his resin fill leaks out (!).

I prefer the pose and aesthetics of the sideshow one but the XM one is more detailed. Both are great in their own right.

Very nicely. He has his own little (big) corner in my Transformers setup. Still tweaking a few things and will make a display video.

Also, portrait in the XM piece is possibly the best Hulk portrait ever made. The SS portrait is quite average imho. To each their own.
