This movie made me shed uncontrollable tears. I was imagining finding myself in this situation. The UN team aided in the genocide. The US is still igniting one crisis in Congo.

In all fairness, it's difficult to put together a sufficiently large and well-equipped force in very little time, and get it there, remember this genocide was planned ahead of time, and if you have no intel on the who's, what's, and where's, stopping something like this is very difficult. But I'll agree that the international community turned its backs on the victims.

If you wish to understand more about what happened in Rwanda in 1994, as a Rwandan, I recommend you watch a documentary called "Shake Hands with the Devil: The Journey of Romeo Dallaire - documentary." I have watched it myself, and I found it to be a comprehensive depiction, featuring true photos of the victims who died in the genocide against the Tutsi which took more than 1 million lives. You will see what the UN soldiers did to the people they were supposed to protect. The most disturbing aspect I heard from this documentary is how the heads of the UN responded to the crisis in Rwanda at that time: "The UN is responsible for keeping peace, not making it." This explains why they always leave when things start getting hard and serious.

Others beaten with nailed sticks to death. I think survivors of this genocide are among the most shocked people in the world. We're quite, we smile but deep down wounded. May God keep showing up!
