you don't need faith stat leveling if you don't use incantation spells or faith scaling weapons/AoWs.

I like your videos but imho they show how much Fromsoft souls games desperately need new mechanics for the combat system.
I know some players can go even crazier with strafes, jumps and different incantations and sorceries but the core still remains stangnant, changing builds doesn't affect the core gameplay for the most part, you will always dodge/run away/strafe>attack, charged heavy or ash of war when possible; and I'm ok with the offensive options being limited (I'm a huge Sekiro fan and you have way less offensive options there), I think it's the defensive department that needs more options: having implemented deflections in ER sure is a breath of fresh air but I think we need something more, because keeping the player engaged with option selection during the defensive state of the combat is beneficial to the overall pacing of the combat.
I'm not saying we need a button to press every second, but ER gameplay really feels stagnant for me and Nightreign looks a little more promising thanks to the character-unique special moves and mechanics.

I agree. I also feel like with Radahn, they’ve hit their ceiling. More so with the DLC in general. Bosses are now just move spammers and then you get a window to hit. Previous Souls games, while slower, did give the player more room to breathe and experiment with bosses.
Their bosses now are air-tight shows that require more dodging than actual fighting. In boxing analogues, the games used to make us feel like Muhammad Ali but now we’re forced to fight like Mayweather.
