Great to see the Twins back in the win column again after losing the series finale against the Red Sox’s. The Mariners are a good team with excellent pitching. Promising to get a win against a good team and a close game. The Twins just need to get a few more of their slumping players to get back on track and continue to stay relatively healthy.
The summer is much more enjoyable when the Twins are playing competitive baseball. They still have several players who are struggling at the plate but I anticipate they will eventually find their rhythm and produce close to season projections. They have some very young talent and competing for starting roles. Hopefully Wallner can find his way back from AAA and Lewis can play for the majority of the season. I think they can certainly be in contention to win the AL Central. It should be a much improved division with the potential for 4 teams to finish above.500.

This game is a perfect example of the one thing I totally hate about baseball and they should change. Woods-Richardson throws nearly 6 perfect innings and leaves with a 1-0 lead. Jax comes in for an inning, blows the lead, then the Twins score a couple runs to win the game and Jax gets the win. The official scorer should have the ability to award the win to Woods-Richardson. I love baseball, but this 'rule' is just stupid.
