Good episode idea: Death is getting a lot of flak for all the deaths Peter has caused, and since he's spared him a lot of times he shows up to claim him for the last time-- it's his neck on the line for all the deaths. Peter proposes an alternative... Reversing all the canon deaths he's caused. Death's like "That's stupid, also impossible." And refuses to take him back in time. Brian knows about Stewie's time machine and so they flee back in time to undo 23 seasons worth of Peter-induced death. Death is hot on their trail the whole way. Maybe death accidentally kills different characters throughout the show's run and has to let Peter go because of his own egregious errors along the way got him in more hot water than if he'd just let Peter go again in the first place.
Since people are gonna think this is the case: No, Norm MacDonald's passing has nothing to do with Death's disappearance. He didn't voice Death for years. Instead, Adam Carolla did, and he is still alive. She says that in the video, actually.

Agree Norm McDonald’s performance was great, though this is the only reason I’m familiar with him because as much as I love sitcoms I’m really not a fan of stand up. These family guy episodes have made me realise that the family guy character roster, in recent times, is very limited. Several characters aren’t used such as: Death, Jake Tucker, Jasper, Herbert, Opie and Ollie, meanwhile others have been killed like: Bertram, Diane Simmons, Thelma Griffin, Horace, Mr Weed, Mayor West and Angela. The last two are understandable given their actors passing but Mayor West could still be utilised in background gags and as a voiceless character potentially flipping trees upside down face to use them as Beyblades, or, building a stack of cards using a crane only for himself and the crane to get blown away in the wind when he checks on his cards. It just feels that the self imposed limitation of the roster has hurt the show and that all the new characters they introduce to replace them feel uncharming, a drag to watch on screen or funny like the old ones (especially Peter’s new boss and Mayor West). I’d love for them to bring back the older roster.
I think Jasper wasn't used anymore because he's a negative gay stereotype. But I gotten used to it since he's not all about sex, just having fun. Thelma's voice actress died.
Mayor west character voice actor died so they ended him off in the show as Canon to him passing away. Which they did a episode where Adam West saves Brian from a bus crash. But also paying tribute to the actor

Death was basically the Troy McClure of Family Guy. A small part of what made the earlier seasons funny only to be removed later on.
Love Death, he’s one of my favourite characters. Although there is the issue of the inconsistency as to when Death kills people by touch or when he doesn’t. In his debut Peter kills the pilots by accident and later Quagmires wife Joan grabs him and dies but Peter is able to have a fist fight with Death and not die.
You can tell who watched the video and who didn’t by those who keep claiming it’s because Norm MacDonald passed away. If that were the case then how come Adam Corolla took over the role after Death’s first appearance? It has nothing to do with Norm’s death. My theory is the character likely got sidelined as new creative teams got cycled in and out and Adam becoming more distant from mainstream Hollywood over his conservative views. If Death ever comes back to the show he will likely get recast yet again. I would like to see him return. There are many more opportunities with this character. I can also imagine that the character is not used much because of his abilities which directs the story to a more fantastical direction that Stewie often serves the same role with his Time Machine and gadgets. Plus, Death being a more semi-permanent fixture could make the show feel less like Family Guy and more like The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.
There’s a lot of other storylines they could do with death, more than just the ones you mentioned here: An episode where Death is constantly running after the Griffins, angry at them for overworking him with all the death and destruction they cause. An episode where someone else in the show bribes and/or blackmails him into killing their enemies for them An episode where something weird happens to Death’s powers and a bunch of characters that died in the show (like Diane Simmons) come back from the dead to terrorize Quahog (they could even make a joke about how the Cleveland Show is getting a reboot now that Death’s powers have gone awol, but then the family gets told the reboot gets scrapped when the conflict is resolved, or even just a quick joke of all the dead characters dancing to Thriller or something) The possibilities really are endless with a character like him, especially with the sarcastic personality he has.
I remember Adam talk about Seth & him had a huge argument over politics but he didnt elaborate and it damaged the friendship, they are both on opposite sides of the political spectrum so could be another reason.
I admit i forgot about death, but he was the best I fell like if they did bring Death back to show Meg what her life be if she wasnt born be just like fairy odd parent, everyone lives is 10x better making her sadder
In my opinion Family Guy is one of worst shows but the idea of Norm Macdonald voicing Death was such a great move, unfortunately they totally screwed the casting with every other appearance of the character

Id consider this your main channel mainly because your channel name leaves more room for broader topics. Your simpsons theory channel may be your og (and its how I found your content) but its clearly restricted to Simpsons so I see it being more likely to be your side channel later on down the line based on how these things usually go with other youtubers
Shame that they never got Norm to return to that role, because his voice fit the character perfectly. Honestly, I remember Adam sounding a lot more like Norm than he actually does, but hindsight is weird like that, I guess. Personally, I haven’t liked Family Guy in quite some time, but Death was always a great character, imo, especially in his first appearance.
As much as I liked death, his character feels redundant in the modern family guy storylines. Too many casualties happening for no reason. And unpopular opinion, them killing him off and having him reincarnated as a chinese girl baby had me rolling😂.
I feel like Death shouldn't return cause I think they have abused the concept of death not being permanent too often. Particularly when Brain was brought back.
Honestly, I hate how the bit characters that keep coming back are the one-note ones. The fact they're a walking catchphrase and nothing else means that they just get annoying over time, while Death was legitimately enjoyable because he had a bit of depth to him.

Death was basically the Troy McClure of Family Guy. A small part of what made the earlier seasons funny only to be removed later on.

Love Death, he’s one of my favourite characters. Although there is the issue of the inconsistency as to when Death kills people by touch or when he doesn’t. In his debut Peter kills the pilots by accident and later Quagmires wife Joan grabs him and dies but Peter is able to have a fist fight with Death and not die.
Norm only voiced his debut, Adam carola (spanky hamm) voiced him onward

Adam Carolla voiced Death more than Norm but I loved Norm and was quite sad to see him go !
You can tell who watched the video and who didn’t by those who keep claiming it’s because Norm MacDonald passed away. If that were the case then how come Adam Corolla took over the role after Death’s first appearance? It has nothing to do with Norm’s death. My theory is the character likely got sidelined as new creative teams got cycled in and out and Adam becoming more distant from mainstream Hollywood over his conservative views. If Death ever comes back to the show he will likely get recast yet again. I would like to see him return. There are many more opportunities with this character. I can also imagine that the character is not used much because of his abilities which directs the story to a more fantastical direction that Stewie often serves the same role with his Time Machine and gadgets. Plus, Death being a more semi-permanent fixture could make the show feel less like Family Guy and more like The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.
I love Peter juked death so hard that his ankles literally broke and he got his job

There’s a lot of other storylines they could do with death, more than just the ones you mentioned here:
An episode where Death is constantly running after the Griffins, angry at them for overworking him with all the death and destruction they cause.
An episode where someone else in the show bribes and/or blackmails him into killing their enemies for them
An episode where something weird happens to Death’s powers and a bunch of characters that died in the show (like Diane Simmons) come back from the dead to terrorize Quahog (they could even make a joke about how the Cleveland Show is getting a reboot now that Death’s powers have gone awol, but then the family gets told the reboot gets scrapped when the conflict is resolved, or even just a quick joke of all the dead characters dancing to Thriller or something)
The possibilities really are endless with a character like him, especially with the sarcastic personality he has.

I remember Adam talk about Seth & him had a huge argument over politics but he didnt elaborate and it damaged the friendship, they are both on opposite sides of the political spectrum so could be another reason.

In my opinion Family Guy is one of worst shows but the idea of Norm Macdonald voicing Death was such a great move, unfortunately they totally screwed the casting with every other appearance of the character
I know, seriously. I hate Family Guy now but even back when I loved it in middle school/early HS, I was annoyed they changed Norm for that other dude. I guess Norm said no after that first appearance

Even though Norm only played Death once, he was the best choice and his sardonic wit fit perfectly. I think Death worked better with his voice though Adam Carolla is fine

In relation to the anti woke stuff, I think if you’re against the message of those shows then it’s better to ignore them and not give them attention at all
I mean, it doesn't matter if something is woke or anti-woke, if you're against something, whether you know whatnits about or not, then just don't go into it with a closed mind or at all. South Park has made fun of the entire woke culture and Lydia still makes videos here and there about them....
The older episodes the comedy was genuine and nowadays the comedy feels forced and trying too hard

Id consider this your main channel mainly because your channel name leaves more room for broader topics. Your simpsons theory channel may be your og (and its how I found your content) but its clearly restricted to Simpsons so I see it being more likely to be your side channel later on down the line based on how these things usually go with other youtubers

Shame that they never got Norm to return to that role, because his voice fit the character perfectly. Honestly, I remember Adam sounding a lot more like Norm than he actually does, but hindsight is weird like that, I guess. Personally, I haven’t liked Family Guy in quite some time, but Death was always a great character, imo, especially in his first appearance.
I actually can’t get over how the guy who made Mr. Birchum is the same guy who voiced my favorite Family Guy character other than Peter Griffin

Norm really gave Death that witty sarcastic edge to him. While with Adam, he's more deadpan (pun unintended) with his voice.
As much as I liked death, his character feels redundant in the modern family guy storylines. Too many casualties happening for no reason.
And unpopular opinion, them killing him off and having him reincarnated as a chinese girl baby had me rolling😂.

Honestly, I hate how the bit characters that keep coming back are the one-note ones. The fact they're a walking catchphrase and nothing else means that they just get annoying over time, while Death was legitimately enjoyable because he had a bit of depth to him.

Yeah like Stewie having depression since now Peter has to yell at someone now that he's even more of a drunken man, Lois taking a bunch of meds for no reason other than making her look hot and treats Stewie like a servant, Chris kicking Stewie like he were an actual Football, Brian... Is no where.

Simpsons Theory and Timelines are both 100 % Lydia, so l sometimes forget that Simpsons Theory wasn't just rebranded to Timelines. So l only see a main and second in terms of age: I got into Simpsons Theory early on and l then saw the creation of Timelines and enjoyed it just as much.
