I know alot of the comments say about painting the doors white but I actually like the dark features of them. I would instead focus more on getting better lighting right throughout the flat so it doesn't feel so dark and dull before changing any door colours (maybe spotlights as you said but definitely ALOT of them) to see if that improves the lighting ! xx
