@@DoubleHeader97 yes him Devin Hester and Percy harvin were like the best kickoff returns It's crazy how I jus found out bout Jacoby thanks to ur comment now I know
They both worked at the same network on NBC for three years (Bryant hosting The Today Show 'til 1997, Greg doing NFL and the Atlanta '96 Olympics). Greg returned to CBS in 1998 after they swiped the AFC package away from NBC to return to the NFL fold. Also another three on CBS when Bryant anchored "The Early Show" and Greg doing NFL, NASCAR and March Madness.
This is absolutely the best voice of our lives. Greg Gumbel(1946-2024) will always be remembered as the main voice of the 2 Super Bowls (35 & 38) and anchor/host of March Madness (1995-2023).
Sorry for your loss. I ran across Mr. Gumbel in person years ago (when he was doing Yankees TV) and made him laugh one time when I was talking smack with Lou Pinella.
Greg's voice has not gone silent, I can hear him right now just thinking about the beautiful man.
Not hearing his voice on the road to the Final 4 during college basketball season will be tough was like your favorite chair
Absolute legend
Rest in peace to legendary sports broadcaster Greg Gumbel.
Rest in Peace
Mr.Gregg Gumble

0:21 Hard to believe Greg and Jacoby have left us this year. They will be missed.
Damn I didn't even know Jacoby Jones had passed it's crazy I still remember his Superbowl kickoff return Rip to both
@ I remember it too. Jacoby was among the elite return specialist of that era.

March Madness will never be quite the same.

It's been surpassed by women's college basketball anyway, lol.

One of my favorite teachers worked at the pre-game show of the 1988 Super Bowl. He told me Greg Gumbel could not have been a nicer man. A legend
Loved it when Greg said "TOUCHDOWN!!!!!" with enthusiasm. We will miss you Greg, rest easy.
Did he have to work alongside bro at the same job?

I think you're confusing him with his brother Bryant, who is still living.
