About Homestead Homemaker:

Lindsey and Jay. I have to say is that I'm so incredibly proud of you both. For always working so good together and loving each other like you both do. And it shows on your kids how happy you all are for having a great marriage and good kids that really love you. You both work so incredibly hard making your new home such a beautiful place to live. I can't even wrap my head around how much you both know how to around your house. You both are incredible smart and intelligent and amazing people. Your doing a fantastic job with everything you both are doing for your beautiful house. You and your husband and children are so incredibly beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. Thank you Lindsay. That means a lot to me. You and Jay is pretty smart to leave your floors that last thing to do. So if anything gets on the floors you don't have to worry about ruining the new flooring that you and Jay will put down. Both of your parents Jay's and of course your parents raised you both up right. And I'm so happy to say that you and Jay are bringing your beautiful kind hearted children up well. By being the greatest role models for your beautiful children.
My neck back and shoulders hurt just watching you do this. Everyone in construction always says the absolute hardest job of any home construction is drywall mudding and floating.
I definitely needed hot tub time after this🤣

I have been unbelievably tired and really trying to get a rhythm worked out. My morning routine has really been helping, but it seems like my energy exhausts a lot faster lately. I am doing what I can, when I can but I can definitely see that I am not able to do it all.
@@HomesteadHomemakerDear Lindsey,I don’t want to be a meddling mama and I know that you’re a barefoot or socks kind of girl,but…….an added fatigue factor is all of the walking and standing on concrete floors! (Which is why they make anti-fatigue mats for hairdressers,etc.) Please try wearing shoes or sneakers with a ridiculously THICK rubber bottom,it REALLY will help.🙌🏻

Have a mini yard sale,that’s what I do when I need money. Ask friends,relatives and neighbors if they have anything to give you for your sale that they were just going to donate anyway. Many will be glad to help in that way.

I can feel my neck and shoulders just watching this.... Above head work is hard! Amazing work.... I was given a corner trowel for the pesky corner and ceiling seams... did not have to try it yet.. hopefully it will work!

Ugg I have to mud and tape my one wall in the livingroom and repair damaged walls in my hall and family room. House sat empty 4 years, settled and moisture damage. That all gets cut iut and rehung. Not looking forward to it, but excited to pick a paint color for after!! ❤ 😂

What does “ floating” your dry wall mean? You really work so hard! Good for you-look at what you and your husband are creating for your precious family!
You thin out the drywall mud and put another layer on top of the taped layer. It's one step closer to having a smooth wall.
Something to think about with stuff getting in your hair...my friend told me she paints with either a silly wig on her head that she uses when she paints, or what I do is wrap my head with a large handkerchief. Hopefully, these ideas will help you! ❤
