    I have the same splitter and have been trying to decide how to modify the wedge to be adjustable and just recently thought if adding an auto cycle valve. Exactly what you did!

    That's a really good video Scheib. It took me a while to get use to it when I got my Wolfe Ridge Pro 28C. Your explanation will be really beneficial to everyone with auto cycle.

    Great video. With straight grain easy splitting wood you can seriously crank it out. But with the tougher stuff it helps when it can but never makes it more difficult. But for a bigger it is a no no in my opinion. Just watched a video a few weeks back when the new bee had s hard time being comfortable with their hand positions. That’s the dangerous part. But with good habits it’s safe and convenient. Great work and production on this 👍

    Thanks Don, for the Great tips on your wood splitter. That is a Very Nice splitter. Lots of rain here in Pa. this year, weeds are growing good. 🤣 Good looking wood you have there Mr. Scheib ! I remember when Dan "Shifty" caught his glove when it returned on his splitter, he was lucky. Be Safe !

    S, thanks for the demo of the auto cycle. Yes, it’s a good feature that requires the operator(s) pay much attention. What advice would you have for operators who keep their left hand the piece being split or leaning on the wood to keep from rising up? Yep, viewing online does not give a accurate picture of how close hands are. Keep up the good videos👏🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

    Totally agree with schieb been running splitters for long enough and just an accident had a mass injury with log that twisted and pinched my finger and ended up with 50% reconstructive surgery on it so yea please be careful folks. 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    make this auto cycle or can you buy it ?

    Great video . I have a question. I've watched you work the Rugged Made and do modifications. If you had it to do over again would you still buy the Rugged Made or would you buy a different splitter with the modifications you've done already built in?

    • @OutsidewithScheib
      @OutsidewithScheib  2 года назад +1

      Considering the cost of doing the mods compared to the cost of a Wolfe ridge or Easton made I would probably do it over again.

    On any hydraulic valve with a detent that I've ever operated, you can also manually hold the valve short of the detent position.... so if you need to stop, you just let go of the lever. Will the Prince valve on your splitter do the same? I've never seen anybody with these high performance splitters do that... everyone always throws the lever into the detent just like you were doing.
    Might be a good mode of operation to show as well if these valves will do it...
